TIPS FOR EXCURSING IN SUMMER HEAT

  • Stay Hydrated & Keep Track of the Same

We’re sure most already know how to stay hydrated, and drink water throughout the day. It does not just help our bodies stay cool but also helps with the fatigue that makes you feel as if one more step could be your last. It has been advised by professionals to drink 8 to 10 ounces of water every 20 minutes. Don’t forget after exercising too. If you are someone who doesn’t drink a lot of water generally in a day, then maybe you can hydrate yourself with fruits during a pause in your physical activity. Now keeping a track is important as overhydration, can lead to hyponatremia. Just to be safe, drink water as recommended and whenever you’re thirsty during the day!

  • Light-colored clothing Every small initiation matters

You must know how dark colors absorb heat. Therefore, all black color lovers please make sure your workout apparel is not black but something lightweight & light-colored. Tight clothing might heat you up as well. Nonetheless, it’s better if air circulates more in your skin, it will slightly keep you cool.

  • Listen to your body always

Sure, it kills all fitness freaks to not complete their four-mile run, but pushing yourself to hard to a point where you feeling faint, dizzy, and sick, trust me it’s not worth it. If you think you’re not feeling it on any day, please don’t work out. Opt for going out for a 20-minute brisk walk, because that all adds up and means something. If you’re out and experience weakness or other symptoms, immediately sit down in the shade, drink water, and a nourishing snack.

7-DAY SUMMER CHALLENGE, NO EXCUSES

Day 1: 20 squats, 15 seconds plank, 25 crunches, 25 jumping jacks, 15 lunges, 25 seconds wall sit, 10 sit-ups, 10 butt kicks, 5 push ups.

Day 2: 10 squats, 30 seconds plank, 25 crunches, 10 jumping jacks, 25 lunges, 45 seconds wall sit, 35 sit-ups, 25 butt kicks, 10 push-ups

Day 3: 15 squats, 20 second plank, 30 crunches, 50 jumping jacks, 25 lunges, 35 seconds wall sit, 30 sit-ups

Day 4: 35 squats, 30 second plank, 20 crunches, 20 jumping jacks, 15 lunges, 55 sit-ups, 25 butt kicks.

Day 5: 60 second plank, 25 squats, 55 jumping jacks, 30 push-ups, 40 sit-ups, 50 butt kicks, 60 lunges, 45 second wall sit.

Day 6: 25 jumping jacks, 10 lunges (each leg), 5 kneeling push-ups, 50 Russian twists, 30 Bird dogs.

Day 7: Pizza Day! We’re kidding, it’s a rest day & well you can cheat a little bit with your diet!

HIGH PROTEIN PANCAKES FOR BREKKY!

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 cups oats
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder whey or plant-based
  • 1 banana ripe, mashed
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup almond milk vanilla, unsweetened
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1-2 scoops collagen peptides
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • Topping Idea: Nut butters, Nuts, Butter, Syrup, Berries, Banana slices, Tahini, etc

You can store prepared pancakes in airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days, and freezer for 3 months.

    Recipe:

    • First make a smooth batter, for that blend all ingredients in a blender.
    • Pre heat a griddle and spray with olive oil.
    • Scoop 2tbsp of batter on the griddle & cook until golden brown on both sides.
    • Add any of your desired toppings & enjoy your healthy pancakes!

    Tip: In case you’ve made extra, don’t worry. You can store prepared pancakes in airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days, and freezer for 3 months. Thaw in microwave until soft and warm.
