Dadasaheb Phalke is considered to be the highest award in India to appreciate the field of cinema. This year’s Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival awards were nothing less than a star-studded event last night. All the television and film stars graced the award ceremony with their top-notch glam game. From the iconic star Rekha to the new mommy of B-town Alia Bhatt, various celebrities graced the red carpet with their presence.
The Power Couple won awards for Best Actor and Actress.
Not only this, television stars like Rupali Ganguly, Tejasswi Prakash, and others also attended the event and even won the appreciation award for their commendable performance in their respective fields and genres. The announcement of the award winners was done on Monday with one of the most appreciated movies of the year, ‘The Kashmir Files’ winning the Best Film award. Featuring in the movie, veteran actor Anupam Kher lifted the trophy of ‘The Most Versatile Actor of the Year’ for the same. On the other hand, for her sensational performance in Gangubai Kathiawadi, Alia Bhatt received the Best Actress of the Year award, and undoubtedly, it was well-deserved. Not only this, but she also accepted his husband Ranbir Kapoor’s Brahmastra Best Actor award on his behalf.

The Most Promising Actor award went to actor-director Rishab Shetty for his Kannada movie Kantara. For his role in Bhediya, Varun Dhawan also took home the Critics’ Choice Award for Best Actor. Anupamaa, a television series starring Rupali Ganguly, took home the Television Series of The Year prize at the event.
Rekha, a seasoned actor, received recognition for her ‘Outstanding Contribution In The Film Business’. She wore a golden saree to the occasion and was spotted interacting with Alia, who was wearing a white saree. They kissed, hugged, and posed for photos with the paparazzi. In the meantime, Hariharan received recognition for his ‘Outstanding Contribution To The Music Business’ with his evergreen and iconic melodies.
While Anupama won the Best Television Series, RRR bagged the Best Film Of the Year.
