Can You Bear To Wear These?

Gone are the days when it was just men obsessing over a pair of good sneakers or any other footwear. Women have been carrying these for longer than we can remember. From sneakers to sandals, the fashion evolution has made everything unisex and for the better. Enormous luxury fashion labels have been trying their best to come up with products which have the power to furnish comfort and fashion together.

Spanish luxury fashion brand Balenciaga has been on a mission to take the fashion industry to the moon. Founded in 1919, the luxury fashion brand has been slaying since. Out of all the fashion elements in the world, footwear is one thing that can make or break a look. And Balenciaga has been doing the job pretty well. However, there have been times when the brand made us go ‘What is this and how does it even make sense?’

Most of you would agree that comfort is the most important factor one looks for while shopping for any footwear. And as Coco Chanel once quoted, “Luxury must be comfortable, otherwise it isn’t luxury”. While exploring the fashion category, we came across Balenciaga faux-fur Track sandals. Before we dig deep into the smacking, let’s take a look at the details of these sandals and the modifications that have been made by the fashion brand.

We wish there was a better way to say this, but it might look like walking in a bear’s feet with those artificial furs.

The busy upper design is constructed from neoprene, rubber, and nylon. It is fastened with two velcro straps, one of which is imprinted with the Balenciaga logo, and a heel strap that also has the company's logo. After research, it was found that synthetic materials neoprene and nylon are not very friendly to the environment or your skin. Also, the narrow toe box of these sandals will make your toes hunt for some space. Is that what you want? We doubt that. The cheap material used can also cause hypersensitivity to your skin.

Now, let’s talk about the much – hyped artificial faux fur. Located all – over the sandal, the fur entirely encloses the footbed, sides, top as well as heel of the sandal. Sandals are usually a statement for summer – comfort when one wants to feel the breeze. And with so much fur around, you can imagine how sweaty your feet can get on a sunny day.

Balenciaga has always been hyped for its exquisite collection of shoes and sandals. But this time, with a sandal of standard design, it seems to be a miss for the brand. We wish there was a better way to say this, but it might look like walking in a bear’s feet with those artificial furs. and the furs fall a lot according to reviews.

The only good thing about these sandals is that they are 100% non-leather. If you want to go for something stylish and lightweight, this is not an ideal option. A pair of footwear brings out the best of your personality, so make sure you invest in something that lasts long. Overall, there are better options available, and these sandals might not be worth the money spent.
