Privacy policy

This policy explains what information fhmindia.com ("FHM India", "we", "us") collects, why, and what you can do about it. The website is published by TCG Media Limited, B-66, Phase-2, Naraina Industrial Area, New Delhi 110028, India.

1. What we collect

• If you subscribe to our newsletter: your email address, and the date you subscribed.
• If you write to us: your name, email address and whatever you put in your message.
• When you read the site: like almost every website, our server records technical details such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit. We use these logs only for security and to fix problems, and keep them for a limited time.

We do not ask for, and do not want, sensitive personal information such as financial details, health information or passwords for other services.

2. Why we use it

• To send the newsletter you asked for. Every email has a link to unsubscribe, and unsubscribing deletes your address from our list.
• To answer your message.
• To understand which stories people read, so we can make the site better.
• To keep the site secure and to meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone except the service providers listed below, or where the law requires it.

3. Cookies, advertising and analytics

A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. We use cookies and similar technologies for two things:

• Analytics. We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. Google Analytics uses cookies and receives your IP address and browser details. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on.
• Advertising. We show ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to our site and/or other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google's Ads Settings, or opt out of some other vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info. Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without them, but ads may be less relevant to you.

4. Service providers

We use a small number of companies to run the site: our web host (Hostinger), our email service for the newsletter, and Google (Analytics and AdSense). They process information only to provide their service to us. Some of them store data outside India.

5. Age

FHM India is a men's lifestyle magazine meant for adults. Parts of the site discuss sex and relationships and show glamour photography. The site is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, write to us and we will delete it.

6. Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable laws, you can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can withdraw consent you have given (for example, by unsubscribing from the newsletter). Write to us at the address below and we will reply within 30 days.

7. Security and retention

We protect the information we hold with reasonable technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and restricted access. We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as long as the law requires.

8. Other websites

Our stories and ads link to other websites. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, so please read their policies.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
