Contemporary or Indian, Anamika Khanna is acing the fashion game with her designs this season

Anamika Khanna has started a new venture with the Reliance Brands Limited (RBL), where the brand will take control and develop Khanna’s AK-OK label

The wedding season this year has been full of glitz and glamour this year. While all the shining stars of Bollywood carried the best of designer outfits with such style and confidence, the one designer whose outfits stood out the most this year was none other than one of the most celebrated among all the Indian designers, Anamika Khanna.

From stylish bodycon dresses to the graceful ethnic outfits, Anamika Khanna is known for her skills and how she modernizes the Indian apparels buy giving them a dash of her creativity. She has blended traditional Indian textiles and techniques with Western silhouette and tailoring.

Anamika Khanna has started a new venture with Reliance Brands Limited (RBL), where the brand will take control and develop Khanna’s AK-OK label while taking a majority 60 per cent stake in the new company. Although Khanna has mentioned that this is a millennial facing concept, the designer over the past two decades has gained a lot of popularity at home in India, as well as internationally for the cuts and styling that she does with Indian and modern wear, which quickly became apparent for the people, that the label was not for a particular age group. Khanna is one of the first Indian fashion designers to be invited to showcase at Paris Fashion Week. She has also won international recognition for her designs and fusions.

Recently, the designer created some of the ravishing pieces for the young Bollywood divas and overall look we saw was AH-mazing. So, checkout the top two styles that created a buzz for the designer and got so much appreciation.

The floor-length kurta

The gen-z actress and the dhadak girl, Janhvi Kapoor wore Khanna’s label for her latest photoshoot that took place in the middle of a canyon. The actress rocked a beautiful floor-length printed kurta with embroidery of golden thread all over the outfit that gave it a royal touch. The kurta also came with a thigh-high slit. Although we think the contemporary look could have slain a little better if the designer could have added more style to the neckline.

Tara wore Anamika Khanna’s label as a metallic jacket lehenga.

The metallic jacket lehenga

The newbie of Bollywood Tara Sutaria’s recent look from one of the parties gave us major indo-western wedding outfit goals. Slaying in style, Tara wore Anamika Khanna’s label and we think it is a top-notch way to carry an outfit without the hassle and in style. The three-piece set from the great designer consisted of a jacket, a plunged neck blouse matching with an A-symmetrical skirt with a thigh-high slit. The coordinated jacket with a unique geometric sequin embroidery adds up bold bling that needs to pump up a wedding outfit. The skirt was kept quite plain with a blue waistband. The overall look was carried quite gracefully by the actress.
