Don’t Be ‘That’ Guy On A Beach: Swim In Style, Not Briefs
Olympian swimmer and Arjuna awardee Rehan Poncha’s list of beach must-don’ts for Indian men – and the Quiksilver and Body Glove board shorts to wear instead of your chaddis.

The larger demand to ban men on the beach in their underwear has received a boost from an unexpected quarter – Goa MLAs. So, here are some other, more sartorially palatable ideas from Quiksilver and Body Glove...
Sunny beaches, scrumptious food, sizzling babes. Yes, beaches spell fun in the sun, but here’s a list of must-don’ts from Olympian swimmer and Arjuna Awardee Rehan Poncha for Indian men to keep it hot instead of not with good beach manners.

1 Look, don’t stare
You may never have seen a pretty girl in a bikini, but please don’t let the world know that by blatantly ogling at the poor thing.

2 Respect people’s privacy even in public spaces
Don’t take photos of people you don’t know; just because you have your shades on doesn’t mean we don’t know what you’re doing.

3 Wear a swimsuit
No chaddis and ganjis please. Besides looking awful when wet, the thought of swimming in the same water in which sweaty underwear has been is plain disgusting!

4 Choose swimsuits that flatter your body type
Wear surfer shorts and a sleeveless T, instead of that sexy V-cut swimsuit, specially if you haven’t been going easy on the beer and butter chicken, and it’s showing!

5 No spitting
Honest, this is disgusting anywhere, but beaches are lovely and people walk barefoot all the time... don’t ruin it with your mess!

6 Cover the fat
If you don’t have the body, please don’t flaunt it. Do yourself a favour; hit the gym before the beach season, and use that trimmer for all the excess body hair!
