FHM Girlfriend: Sana Khan
It was about 8 years ago that Sana Khan came in limelight, but we can still hear our hearts go toing…

Hey Sana, 14 films across 5 languages? Seriously?
Yes, seriously! I’ve done movies in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi. I started off with Tamil films and was also awarded as the Best Actress for debut movie, Silambattam and I started getting more movies down south. I got to work with Nagarjuna and a lot of big faces from South industry and that’s where all my experiences come from. I have become more disciplined in terms of punctuality and it’s very difficult to express yourself in a language you don’t know, especially the emotional scenes. I was like a popat who used to mug up every single word and after the word ‘action’, there was no stopping me. I became a very loud actress with time, which in turn helped me to give better performance in Jai Ho in front of all the superstars. Loud acting and over acting is my foray.

How many languages do you know out of them?
I know only Hindi and a little bit of Tamil. I kept shuffling with different movies of different languages so never had time to learn one.
We’ve heard that you have done about 50 advertisements. Which one is your favourite? Ours is the Amul Macho ad.
Amul Macho for me as well (winks). It was definitely one of my favourite ad films. It actually changed my life and it was also very bold of me to do such an act in front of so many people which made me shy eventually.
Were you not scared of the orangutan during the shoot?
Initially, I was when I saw them for the first time as they were huge. But they were trained very well-behaved. In fact they performed better than me with all the possible tantrums they could give because she was a female. I even got to click so many pictures with them during the shoot. When we used to get breaks, they also got breaks.
How did your career kick-start?
Actually I started getting a lot of offers from my childhood but my mom wanted me to study so she never entertained those offers. In my college times, when the offers started flooding again, people thought that I could be a print actress but not video types. So I thought of giving acting a try and started going for auditions. Initially, I never had this kind of confidence. I was very shy in terms of interacting with people, but I wanted to give a chance to myself to prove I could be different and you get nothing without hard work. Luckily, the hard work I used in put in during the audition helped me get 60 ads and few of them have become my identity today.
Dancing, acting and modelling. Which one interests you the most?

All three interest me equally. Dancing is my childhood hobby, you may call it my passion as well. Then I started with modeling because, in my opinion, I was an ‘okayish’ actor. Like I have never really taken any professional course in acting and dancing. I enjoy modelling as it’s a one day work and it gives me an opportunity to play different characters with different looks.
How were your growing up years?
It was like any other middle class family where I only had the basic amenities of life. I am the only child of my mom and have been single handedly raised by her. She was always very protective about me. During childhood, I stayed with my grandparents and they were too much of fun. I bullied my grandparents like any other child. I used to make them run around me all day. I was also a pet lover and was only allowed to have chickens at home and I grew up among them. When you lose your pet it’s very depressing, so I decided not to have pets anymore.
Any fond memories from childhood that still remain close to your heart?
I remember it was during Diwali that I was lost for about 5 hours. I was stranded near a police station, crying profusely. Finally my mom went to file a report but she found me on her way.
Aww. Now let’s get a bit personal. Are you dating someone?
I am not dating anyone now but I am open to a relationship if I find someone.
What’s your biggest turn off?
An unhygienic guy! For me, hygiene is very important and first thing I notice in a guy is his teeth and hands.

What sets you adrenaline rushing?
Caffeine! It just keeps me running!
When was the first time you kissed a guy?
I am a very old-school kind of lover. I was a convent student and never had an opportunity to kiss a guy. My first kiss was actually in 11th standard.
5 things without which you don’t leave home?
Umm… shades, sunscreen, lip gloss, wallet and phone charger.
On a casual day, without any work, what would we find you wearing?
Probably my cotton pyjamas and a top with no makeup, only the moisturizer and lip balm.
What’s the most embarrassing thing you’ve ever done that nobody knows about?

Let it remain a secret. I will still not like anyone to know (haha).
What is the most prized possession in your closet?
My Rolex watch. My childhood dream was to have a Rolex watch and it remains very close to my heart and wrist, of course (winks).
What’s your favourite shade while picking up a lingerie?
Probably red or fuchsia colours. It also depends upon what I like in the store. Lately, I have been buying designer lingerie which has Swarovski work in it from my favourite Victoria’s Secret.
What are you doing in Great Grand Masti?
Sadly I have opted out from that film.
So, when is the next time we see you in a Bollywood movie?
You will see me in the mid of 2016 in Tom, Dick and Harry 2. It’s comedy family film.

Did you have any apprehensions in signing the adult comedy?
Tom, Dick and Harry was surely an adult comedy, but TDH2 is a family comedy and I am playing a crack, cute and sweet girl in the film.
Kissed a girl?
No, got kissed by one and ran from there.
Used a men’s loo?
No, Never!
Drank like a fish?
I don’t drink!
Cheated in a relationship?
Never!
Gone commando?
Never ever! I always play it safe!
