Just a few days ago, the makers of the film re-released ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’ in theatres with limited shows, and the fans of Sunny Deol who have a nostalgic connection with the film were exhilarated by the happiness. This leads to an increase in the shows of the film in different theatres.
The whole new peak in the hype and demand for shows proves that the power and magic of the film are still alive in the heart of film lovers, especially those who grew up watching Gadar: Ek Prem Katha.

When Gadar: Ek Prem Katha was re-released in theatres on 09th June, fans were surprised to watch the Gadar 2 teaser in the theatre which was attached to the film makes the audience more excited for Gadar 2 and owning to this excitement of the fans, Today the makers of the film, Zee Studios and Anil Sharma Production launched the teaser of Gadar 2 on the YouTube Channel of ‘Zee Studios’.
The teaser opens with a long shot that develops a story and voice over continues in the background ‘Damad hain woh Pakistan ka, use Nariyal do, teeka lagao, warna is baar woh dahej mein Lahore le jaayega.’ Then the teaser further displays the mayhem with numerous Pakistani guys on the streets with Placards reading “Crush India”. Soon we get a sight of Tara Singh in Lahore.

The background music is enough to spark patriotism inside you. But, we also get to witness his emotional side as he sits with tears in his eyes at a burial mound. And, the song ‘Ghar aa jaa pardesi’ in the voice of Arijit Singh, doesn’t let you miss the voice of Udit Narayan at the finale. Sunny Deol seeing reprising his role as ‘Tara Singh’ and this time story is set against the backdrop of the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971 when posters of the ‘Crush India Movement’ were pasted across Pakistan.

After watching the teaser, it seems like the story of Gadar 2 begins right from where the story of ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’ ended. Sunny Deol on Gadar 2 said, “Gadar 2 continues forward the legacy of its spectacular first segment. It’s a blessing to be able to bring back one of India’s most cherished family films. At its heart, the film would always be an amazing epic love story, courage, and patriotism. Hope the world welcomes Tara and Shakina again with open arms.”
Gadar was a blockbuster at the box office in 2001 and people same expected it from Gadar 2, but the thing audience will miss, which no one talking about is ‘Amrish Puri’ who was the father of Sakina (Ameesha Patel). The teaser already crossed over 1 million views in just 1 hour.
