Infamous Second Son
This time around, the Infamous series is finally becoming famous!

A fascist government taking over a God-fearing population. Resonates more with the erstwhile Nazi movement, right? Sure, it might, but the game is set in the future, where drones patrol neighborhoods, invasive checkpoints guarded by ammo-equipped soldiers detain suspected terrorists and high-tech surveillance cameras keep a check on every citizen’s actions. This, is what Second Son is all about - set in Seattle the story revolves around the protagonist Delsin Rowe, a 24 year-old slacker and graffiti artist who is bestowed with supernatural powers.
The Gameplay

The game is very much an open-world superhero action game, and an excellent one at that. You can run around freely, climb buildings, jump between buildings, blow up cars and pretty much anything else that would come to your mind. Coming back to the game, Delsin portrays a character that is embroiled with ideologies and anger, which further intensifies when he wields a set of specific superpowers. He is able to make use of his superpower abilities by manipulating materials such as smoke and neon. To take down his opponents Delsin performs melee attacks or fire projectiles from his fingertips. Players can choose their course of gameplay - by playing evil or good, which is quite cool as you can taste both sides of anxiety. As the protagonist progresses through the story, which sees him fight against Department of Unified Protection (D.U.P.), he tends to gain handsome new powers. Furthermore, to enhance those powers, Delsin needs to destroy mobile D.U.P. command centers, and collect more shards by bringing down the hovering drones scattered all across the city of Seattle. But there are a few uncanny feats of the game, like you need to find a smoke vent to possibly reach to the top of a building without depleting your smoke power count, or beat a gang of illegal drug dealers to release the trapped shards, that keep you upbeat. What kept us glued to the character however was his ability to jump between buildings, climb tall structures effortlessly and park himself on the top of buildings thanks to his great parkour skills. Unlike other RPGs, what really makes this title stand out is its inquisitiveness to strategize how to take down opponents as you move along with missions, than just plainly completing them. This is surely one of the best titles we’ve got our hands on so far.
