Keeley Hazell: smashing 2014
It’s been a smashing 2014 for our favourite British export. Movie roles, her own TV show – what’s next for Ms Hazell?

We’re not sure if you’ve heard, but Keeley Hazell is doing pretty damn well. Not content with being FHM’s all-time most popular cover star (this is her 9th cover and counting), she’s now officially owning Los Angeles, her home of the past five years. This year saw Keeley bag a stupendously sexy role in Horrible Bosses 2, and she’s also upped her modelling game, starred in numerous TV ads, written a series of articles for The Huffington Post and co-written a web series. On top of all that, she was voted the ninth sexiest woman in the world of all time by our lovely readers and even found time to finally join Twitter (@keeleyscorner, in case you’re interested).
It’s safe to say that you’ve been busy?

You could say that! I’m actually taking some time out now, I’m going travelling for a while. I have a fantastic life, but the last 10 years have been focussing on building my career and I wanted to take some self-exploration time, so I’m going to Bali, Australia and Fiji.
What will you be doing there?
I mainly plan on writing. Eating, drinking, documenting my trip. Instagramming. A lot of Instagramming. Australia is going to do great things for my Instagram feed.
Does this mean a lot of bikini selfies?
Well, I am backpacking. I don’t know if you’ve seen the size of a backpack but they’re small. I basically have room for my laptop and bikinis. My laptop is the most important thing, then my Kindle, then my camera, so I’ll probably only have room for very small string bikinis.
Do you prefer bikinis or one-pieces?
Both, to be honest. I own some one-pieces and they can be pretty sexy.
Ever been to a nudist beach?
I have, actually. Unintentionally, in Spain, when I was 19. I sort of stumbled onto it and was like, “Erm, everyone’s naked…”
When do you feel at your most sexy?

When I feel confident. And when I’m driving a sports car. For some reason, when I drive a sports car everything becomes sexy.
So, another year has passed. What were your highlights of 2014?
Ah, there were so many, it’s been a big year. Let’s see… being voted in the top 10 of FHM’s 100 Sexiest of all time! How that happened I’m not quite sure. Non-work wise, there’s seeing Paul McCartney in concert. It was a year of a lot of firsts – I went to my first ice hockey game, I went to Miami and Toronto for the first time, I had my first male stripper lap dance…
Your first ever?
Ha! You’re surprised that it was my first… me too! It was a friend of a friend’s hen do that I invited myself to. She ordered a male stripper from the internet, as you do. The guy that showed up wasn’t the guy she ordered, but as a consolation two strippers showed up for the price of one. One was a pizza man and the other a cop. It was like a scene from Magic Mike. It was honestly one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen.
Have you ever given a lap dance?
Ha, yes. I tried to give one to my boyfriend, who laughed in my face. I don’t know if it was my dancing, the singing along to the song or the klutzy unsexy undressing? Either way he was in fits of laughter.
What was the song?
Beyoncé, Drunk in Love. It wasn’t my first lap-dancing song choice but after two teapots of sake I just turned into a stripper. I can understand why my boyfriend was laughing now. We’re having a conversation, then all of a sudden Beyoncé plays and I turn, start dancing and undressing.
2014 was the year of the leaked nudie photos. What was your take on it, given that you were once in a similar situation?
It’s definitely brought it back a bit. I mean, when it happened to me [a sex tape was leaked online], it was so long ago that the phrase ‘revenge porn’ wasn’t even a term then. But that’s what it was. Revenge porn and the leaked photos fall under the same umbrella, both being a huge violation of privacy. I really sympathise with the women who’ve had their private pictures stolen; for me, the tape was one of the worst things I’ve ever been through and I hate that other women have to go through that. I’m very passionate in fighting for women’s rights and putting an end to revenge porn. It’s also about making people understand the difference between a woman choosing to pose topless or in her underwear, and a woman being violated and denied that choice.

On a more positive note, you featured in the movie Horrible Bosses 2. How was that?
It was such a great experience. My part is minimal, it’s not my ‘breakthrough’ role, but it was a wonderful opportunity and all part of the bigger picture.
What is the bigger picture?
Well, I want to be a stand-up comedian next. My show is going to be called ‘model’ I’m going to open the show completely naked and just stand on stage for an hour not saying anything.
Where can we buy tickets?
At keeleysnakedcomedy.com – I’m actually into the idea of doing stand-up comedy, as a joke. You know how people do karaoke for fun? Well it would sort of be like that.
We’ve seen you pop up on telly in a lot of ads this year… is it weird seeing yourself?
No way! I love seeing myself on TV. Every time one of my adverts play, I see dollar signs, ha. Don’t print that… I don’t think my sense of humour translates in interviews so people will read this and be like “Err, is she for real?”
Tell us about the show you’re writing.
I’ve been writing a few things; there’s this web series that I wrote a while ago that’s still being developed. I recently started working on a new project about dating and I’m continuing to write for The Huffington Post.
True that. Finally, tell FHM about your worst ever date.
There are too many to mention. But I once went on a date with a guy who brought his mum along. Honestly. It didn’t end well.
