Lava Aura Curve 5G: a curved AMOLED screen and a second display on the back for Rs 23,999
Lava’s new phone brings a curved 120Hz AMOLED screen, a mini display on the back and a 6,000mAh battery, and it is sold through offline stores.

Lava has a new phone that wants to look a lot more expensive than it is. The Aura Curve 5G is priced at Rs 23,999 for 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, it is sold through Lava’s offline retail stores, and it brings two things you rarely see together at this price: a curved AMOLED screen up front and a small second display on the back.
The screen is the headline act
The front is a 6.67-inch Full HD+ 3D curved AMOLED panel (2400 x 1080) with a 120Hz refresh rate. Lava quotes 1,100 nits of peak brightness, 800 nits in high-brightness mode and 100 per cent of the DCI-P3 colour range, so scrolling should feel smooth and outdoor viewing shouldn’t be a squint-fest. Curved edges used to be a flagship signature; here they arrive at a mid-range price.

A second screen on the back
Flip it over and there is a small display next to the cameras. It shows notifications, battery status and custom messages, which means you can check what just buzzed without picking the phone up, or leave it face down on the café table with something cheeky showing. It is a party trick, but a useful one.

What runs it
Inside is MediaTek’s Dimensity 7100, a 6nm chip clocked at up to 2.4GHz, paired with 6GB of LPDDR5 RAM (plus 6GB of virtual RAM) and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. There is no memory card slot, so 128GB is what you get. The phone runs clean Android 16, and Lava says there is no bloatware and no ads.
Cameras
The main rear camera is a 50MP Sony IMX752 sensor with electronic stabilisation and 2K video at 30 frames a second. On the front there is a 13MP selfie camera with a screen flash for low light.
Battery and toughness
A 6,000mAh battery supports 45W charging, although the box comes with a 33W charger; Lava quotes a full charge in 92 minutes. The phone is IP64 rated against dust and water splashes and carries MIL-STD-810H certification for drops and shocks. It weighs 184g and is 8.55mm thick.

The FHM take
Lava is clearly aiming at buyers who still like to walk into a neighborhood phone shop, hold the phone and pay there. For them, a curved AMOLED screen, a back display that gets noticed and a big battery at Rs 23,999 make an easy case. What we would still like to see before calling it: how the rear display holds up in daily use, and how long Lava keeps the software updated. It comes in Ambar Blue and Him Silver.
