LG G6 review: the better successor
A beautiful phone with a lot of camera features: the LG G6’s 5.7-inch FullVision screen, 13MP dual camera and 3,300mAh battery, for ₹41,999.

A beautiful phone with a lot of camera features. But there is more to it. Go ahead and explore, we would say!
The LG G6, the successor to G5 is sturdy, good looking and of course, better than all its predecessors. There is a hint of vintage with no edges and curves. It was launched before the Galaxy S8, but the comparisons are bound to happen. But I don’t care about it. For me, the phone has to have a few things and the G6 ticks most of the boxes.

First thing first, I don’t like anything slim. A bit of bulk is my preference. And the G6 has the right amount of it to feel that you’re actually holding a phone in hand and not a toy. I’m not a fan of large screens though, but the 5.7 inch screen with FullVision display from the Korean manufacturers is impressive in more ways than one. The taller but not wider screen takes almost all the space of the front side of the phone. The Galaxy S8 is a stunner though for its screen, at least!
The second thing is the camera. Mind you, I’m not from this ‘selfie generation’, but I do love taking photos. And G6 has improved on this aspect too. The 13-MP dual camera comes with the wide angle lens that captures more ground where needed. The composition and the colours are close to natural. Interesting modes, like popout, food and snap kept me hooked and try out newer clicks.
And the last thing is battery. At 3300mAh, the phone easily manages to survive a day with all kinds of background activity, games and apps. The better part is the USB Type C port that supports quick charging. 0-100 per cent in an hour and 25 minutes is not that bad, is it?
So if you have about ₹42,000 to spare on a good looking phone with a lot of camera features, go for it!
