Loewe Individual TV
A slimline stunner from German giants Loewe, made to order and tailored to your personal taste: TVs don't come any more sexual than this.

With TVs getting bigger, looks are more important than ever – a hulking fat bastard of a set blotting your lounge isn’t really on. This new range from Loewe go from 32- to 55-inch screens, so you can have a looker no matter how much space you’ve got. Yet the 40-inch is only 2.5cms wide at its fattest point: that’s as wide as two iPhones taped together. Any thinner and it’d have to run around in the shower to get wet.
You can have it made-to-order, too. Taking into account colour, design, screen size, sound and set-up options, multimedia, features and in-room integration, there are over a million ways to customise it. Optional extras include a 250GB hard drive for storing hundreds of hours of TV on, and a sound bar with 40 speakers in for 7.1 virtual surround sound from a single unit under the set. The catch? The hard drive will set you back an extra Rs 8,31,097; the sound bar Rs 75,963. Ouch.

Despite the drop-dead looks the set doesn’t scrimp on specs. The screen is LED- backlit – meaning truer colour reproduction and contrast ratio – and making it 45% more energy efficient than its predecessor. And thanks to the ambient light sensor the screen’s brightness adjusts to the room’s lighting, optimising the picture to match your conditions whether you’re in bright sunlight or an Osama bin Laden-style cave. So while you may need to stick one of your vital organs on eBay to afford it, we think you’ll agree it’s well worth it.
