Multi-grain bread encompasses wholegrain assortments and is an excellent source of fibre, vitamins, protein, and minerals along with some healthy fats. Being high in dietary fibre, whole grains help to keep us feeling full. On the other hand, eggs are a powerhouse of proteins, vitamins D, B2, B6 and B12, selenium and minerals like copper, iron, and zinc.

Ingredients

  • Almond or multi-grain bread
  • Butter: 1 tablespoon
  • Almond or coconut flour: 2 tablespoons
  • Salt to taste
  • Eggs: 2
  • Baking powder: ½ a tablespoon
  • Ground cinnamon: 1 tablespoon

Method

Take a large dish and grease its bottom properly with a little butter. In this dish, mix all the other ingredients followed by breaking an egg. Stir to ensure all ingredients mix well. Add a pinch of salt. Keep stirring till the time the batter becomes smooth in consistency and make sure there are no lumps. Soak the bread slices in this mixture and ensure they get soaked really well, turn them around to enable the bread to seamlessly absorb as much of the egg mixture as possible. Heat some butter in a cooking pan and gently place the soaked bread on it and cook from both sides. Serve hot.
