Saving Our Breakfast: Bacon Is Good For You
New evidence suggests that bacon could be the secret to eternal youth (in moderation): brain food for babies, good fats, lean muscle, omega-3 and even bio-diesel.

New evidence suggests that bacon could be the secret to eternal youth*
Recent studies have found that mothers who eat bacon and eggs can boost the intellect of their unborn. The two breakfast staples are good sources of a nutrient called choline that helps develop a baby’s memory.

45% of the fat in pig-skin is monounsaturated – that’s the good kind. The fat is oleic acid, the same ‘healthy’ fat that’s in olive oil.
Adding bacon to your breakfast curbs your hunger more than those who eat no protein. A study showed even though people who did and didn’t eat bacon lost the same amount of weight, those who did retained more lean muscle which increases metabolism.
High-end oinkers are now being fed grains that boost their levels of omega-3 fatty acids, the stuff you usually get from fish. These can lower your risk of heart attack and high cholesterol.

Left over bacon fat is being used to create an environmentally safe and low pollution level bio-diesel meaning we’ll all breathe a little easier.
