The Devil’s Gift: MAC’s Disney Cruella Collection
Let your inner diva out while glamming up with MAC’s new collection- Disney Cruella.

Edgy black and white tones, dramatic dresses, two toned, hair, loud lipstick with a maniacal smile plastered on her face. Guessed it yet? Yes, we are talking about enigmatic yet devilish Cruella de Vil. Disney’s live action origin story released on May 28; and along came MAC Cosmetic’s new collection: Disney Cruella, with nine new products, launched on the same date, with pre orders staring from May 13.
The collection’s packaging follows the monochromatic signature style of Cruella, with a hint of red. Although it goes with the theme but definitely makes the products look a little bland, even though the red does pop through. However, the eyeshadow palette- ‘Cruella To Be Kind’ has been made interesting with some doodles, and features cool toned hues of silver, blue, and black in matte, satin and shimmery. The kit also disconnects into four sections with two shades each, which are highly pigmented, creamy and intense. Great to create all those dramatic or smokey looks for any event!

Coming to the dual shades, the brand launched Dual-Ended Pro Longwear Eye liner. As obvious by the name, the eye liner features the black hue on one end and white on the other. The brand has also launched a Powder Blush Duo ‘Cruel-la Intentions’, which has a pink blush and a golden shimmery highlighter. A pigmented, matte, bright pink blush and a neutral highlighter combined into one. The blush is intense and can be a bit too much for those who prefer a lighter shade. The highlighter on the other hand doesn’t feel like a highlighter but more like a powder and doesn’t have much shimmer to it.
The collection’s biggest category is a total of six new shades of Matte Lipsticks and Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour.
Talking about the pop of colour, which in this case is to focus on your lips. The collection’s biggest category is a total of six new shades of Matte Lipsticks and Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour. The lipsticks ranges from crimson and rosy tones to loud red and mauve, and are creamy in texture. A perfect hit for this collection.

The lisptic has three creamy matte finish shades in bright red, light pink and blood red, named- ‘De Vil In The Details’, ‘Sweet-N- Vicious’ and ‘Camden Caper’, respectively. The Retro Matt Liquid Lip colour is velvety with a matte finish and again has three varieties- ‘Glamarchy’ (blood red), ‘Mayhemmed’ (red), and ‘Queen of Mean’ (brownie pinkie neutral).
Apart from these the collection also includes lashes and brushes. The falsies are cat-eye lashes with full volume, runaway-ready look and follow the theme of two-toned packaging. The brushes include a blending brush and a powder brush with two toned fibres following the two tone theme.
The collection is no doubt an ode to Cruella and her bolder looks, inspiring us to come out of our shell and glam up the world; may be paint it red!
