Recently, designer brand Alexander McQueen introduced a unique pair of boots known as "hoof boots," which has sparked a debate on the internet. These boots, part of the McQueen Autumn Winter 2024 collection, feature a margarita brown calf hair material, a hoof-inspired round toe, horseshoe sole silhouette, and silver-finished nail studs. Priced at approximately ₹2.5 lakh (around $2,990), they have divided opinions among fashion enthusiasts.

The avant-garde designer's Hoof Boots made a prominent appearance during the brand's recent presentation at Paris Fashion Week, showcasing a darker and bolder approach under the creative direction of Seán McGirr. Whether they become iconic or not, these boots certainly make a statement!

Some folks hailed it as 'iconic,' while others dismissed it as a 'pointless' creation.

As part of the McQueen Autumn Winter 2024 collection of the brand have a horse girl aesthetic. The collection as a whole featured a mix of primitive and futuristic elements, complemented by other designs that included dresses with broken mirrors and knitwear with hyperbolic and other shapes.

The description of the boots on the website reads, “Margarita brown calf hair boot featuring a hoof inspired round toe with horseshoe sole silhouette and silver-finished nail studs. The boot is finished with a back zip closure.” Yes, you read that right. “The boots feature a hoof-inspired design, with a round toe that mimics the shape of a horseshoe”

Some folks hailed it as 'iconic,' while others dismissed it as a 'pointless' creation. These unique boots, shaped like horse hooves, simply sparked both praise and criticism after going viral. The concept behind these 'Hoof Boots' is to symbolically reveal the animal within us, as mentioned during the show. Although there has been speculation, it's confirmed that the material used isn't horsehide but standard leather, commonly found in high-end boots.

Though, these hoof boots are designed to fit snugly onto a horse's hooves, provide comfort, traction, and protection.
