Why Do Girls Nag So Much? Payal Rohatgi Explains
We couldn’t dare ask our girl, so we thought WE’D GET actress Payal Rohatgi TO ANSWER THE BURNING QUESTION…

On getting worked up over small things: They weren’t kidding when they said that men are from Mars and women are from Venus because we sure do behave differently, which is why soiled bedsheets and dirty toilets traumatise us, but don’t bother you.
On maturity and responsibility: If you want to settle down with your girl, you have to take care of the finances and be considerate about your future as a couple. We don’t like uncertainties.

On cleanliness: We love to dress up and look beautiful, so we also want our surroundings to look good. I’m bound to get hyper when Sangram (my boyfriend) leaves a ‘raped’ bathroom after a shower, treats the bedroom like a shoe rack and kisses me in the morning while I’m brushing.

On frantic calls: I used to get agitated if my calls weren’t answered. Then I realised that unlike women, men can’t multitask. Either they work or talk, so I stopped calling my guy randomly. Also, we don’t like our conversations ending abruptly, so I’d rather wait for him to call when he has time.

On flirting: For men, sex is like brushing. You need to do it daily. I get more emotional after getting physical, so I can’t have random sex. Men don’t like it when we flirt with other men. They seem to own us.

On being impossible: I’m not impossible, but I do have mood swings. However, I caution him about it in advance. Men just don’t understand our emotions.

On ‘it is always a man’s fault’: Not always, but mostly. They don’t mean certain things, but would still say it to hurt us. By the time they say sorry, the damage is already done.

On manipulating: There can be only one boss in the office and that’s me, but then there are times when I do want to be controlled. I guess women are a confused species.

On Mr Right: Hmm, I guess women need to be more practical when they fall in love because after the initial attraction, you have a life together ahead of you.

On the remote control: Men like all sports. We love drama and stick to one program, while men just keep flipping channels.
On shopping: The more stressed I am, the more I shop. I feel loved when I shop. It’s like healthy flirting.
On being passive aggressive: I’m not one of those. I always stand up for myself and say what I want whether people like it or not.
On planning: I don’t know why men are so lazy. They’ll always do things at the last moment. The rush makes me hyper and then they say that we nag for no reason.
On driving: Driving is a stress. I would rather take a rickshaw than drive. I just can’t handle the pressure of traffic.
