Daytime Dining

No need to feel guilty about sleeping in on Sundays, as the brunch at Hilton is always there to take care of your weekend cravings.

Daytime Dining

Open, airy, and comfortable, with an understated class; are apt words to describe the welcoming ambience of the Hilton Garden Inn. The famous hospitality brand has been hard at work towards creating the perfect setting for you to unwind and indulge, as you are treated to their exceptional service. This is the promise behind their Sunday Brunch Buffet, a bespoke dining experience that is well-known amongst patrons across the globe. We were invited to enjoy the same, as the brand brings this practice to their Gurgaon location as well. The fun-filled journey began with refreshing welcome drinks made from cucumbers and watermelons that served as great palate cleansers between courses. We even got to try a lovely alcoholic drink called Annanas, which flawlessly emulated the flavours of a simple pineapple juice while perfectly masking the booze within.

The first course was a lovely interpretation of a granola bar, filled with nutritious nuts, oats and jaggery; that was crunchy and chewy, and immediately took the edge off the hunger we felt from skipping breakfast. We followed it up with a light and spicy soup that came with delicious chicken and prawn add-ons. The real fun began with some delicious Fish Fingers with fresh tartar sauce that simply melted in our mouths. There was an equally yummy roasted paneer option on the vegetarian side, which was perfectly grilled on the outside while being refreshingly tender inside, with no hint of any hardness or burnt flavour. The same could be said for the Afghani Murgh, although it had a bit more oil to fend of the dryness. We took a brief detour to taste some international flavours; with portions of mildly creamy pasta and well-proportioned pizza, before coming back to the amazing desi flavours of Butter Chicken, Mutton Nihari and the all-time favourite, Biryani. However, what truly made us stand up and pay attention were the perfectly made slow-cooked vegetables that wowed us with their crunchy texture and memorable taste. However, despite enjoying all this gastronomic goodness, nothing could have prepared us for the delectable dessert section; filled with rich triple-layered Chocolate Mousses, light as air Fruit Tarts, and a Vanilla Pudding that was nothing short of a revelation. The pièce de résistance was a dessert platter made specifically for us, with lovely Mango Tarts, rich Chocolate Brownies, and Apple Crumble Pies to die for.

Daytime Dining

On a whole, the thing that struck us most was the level of care taken to ensure that every single dish maintained the perfect balance, whether it is in regards to the cooking, flavours, or even the ingredients used. The fact that they change the menu every week, and rarely repeat any of the fantastic recipes, is a testament to the skill of the chefs, and the perfect reason to continue revisiting this place, even if it means giving up your Sunday’s for it.
