FHM Asks: Monsoon love stories from our readers
Our readers tell us about the monsoon moments, first kisses and rainy nights they will never forget.

That special monsoon rain
It was the cloudy morning of July 2014, I was thinking about a romantic filmy scene. It was another working day, until he called up and asked me to change my way. In a surprised tone, I said “Are you drunk?” He started laughing and replied, no dear let’s have bunk.. I changed my idea to go to work, suddenly the metro stopped with a strong jerk. Ooh yes!! I have to get down. I had no idea that he was waiting there with a crown. Up in the sky, we were watching the dark clouds gather, we started our ride, enjoying the lovely weather together. He played the first beautiful song, and my heart started dancing ding dong. Holding my hand he shared the best moment of life, as he whispered and proposed me to be his wife. I was numbed after hearing those words, and get back to senses with chirping of thunderbirds and then the most curious thing of all, a gentle rain began to fall. God also smiled and showered his blessings from all above, this is how we started our journey of love. Monsoon rain is always special to me, as it changed my status from I to We.
I get shivers thinking about that day
It was two years ago, when we were studying in school. In an off period, we were standing at the gate of the school building, she and me along with our friends, relishing the fresh breeze. It started pouring suddenly and our friends ran back to the classrooms but we stayed there. She went running into the rainstorm and got drenched. I called her back. I could barely resist going out into the rain with her, but it was our teacher watching us that made me call her back to the class room. I still remember her face, so cute and innocent. We were in school or I would have kissed her, seriously. That was the first time she inscribed the beautiful impression of monsoon in my life. Till date, I get goosebumps, shivers, and chills thinking about that day, I still love to get drenched in the rain - just to recall that overwhelming day and to enjoy the light rain.

That night was young
The first rain cloud has a dazzling look; at times frightening and rough but mystical at the same time. There's nothing like seeing a stunning rainbow cutting across the sky, painting the world in various hues. I still remember myself looking at the sky - enormously frightened but enthusiastically awaiting for a cleansing effect by a powerful cloudburst. The night was young, but everything around that farm house was quiet. The ambience was simply splendid, the drizzling rain, cool breeze and the sparkling lights - it was the right time for me to get romantic with my partner. That was the moment I started to walk alone - knowing that she would join me soon, which she did only a couple of minutes later! We gladly talked about all the memorable memories of our relationship. The moment was special since we were meeting each other after almost two years. Then it was all rosy dreams - the monsoon, the drenched trees and grass, the faded sound of the waterway, the dim moonlight playing shirker - and the two of us. The clouds exuberated and showered down their blessings upon us!

I felt his lips teasing mine
I was in the bus on my way to my office. I looked out the window. The sky was getting overcast. I’d gut-feeling it would rain, the first monsoon shower. There he was on the cellphone. “Hi, we are going for lunch at Hauz Khaz Social. Come to my office.” I was surely excited. We were early for lunch. “Shall we take a walk around the lake?” he asked. The sky had darkened. In minutes it began pouring and we were dancing crazily. Suddenly, I bumped on him and he held me in his embrace before I could fall. His eyes were feasting at the swell of my bosom, my gaze on the water trickles from his face. He lowered him on me and soon I felt his lips teasing mine. The time froze till the thunderclap awoke us.

It was pure bliss - my first ever kiss!
It was the most memorable day of my life. We were just walking along the road after having dinner. All of a sudden we felt a cool breeze and within the blink of an eye it started pouring. The droplets rolled down on us and we couldn't think what to do. She had an umbrella with her and we opened it and decided to walk in the rain. We started walking hand in hand, but breeze was somewhat so strong that it was not easy handling the umbrella. I had to hold it and there we came closer to each other with my hand on her shoulder. We were getting thoroughly wet - it was so cosy and our mood was set. Then we decided to go for a long drive. I started my bullet and in no time we were on the road, speeding up. It was so much fun! As we drove, she started feeling cold. She held me from behind and put her hand across me, I could feel the love. We were humming the all time favourite Raj Kapoor-Nargis song ‘Pyar hua ikrar hua hai, pyar se phir kyu darta ha dil’. I stopped the bullet and we kissed each other. It was pure bliss - my first ever kiss. I just love the rains!
