Have You Had Enough of Temple Run?
At least the FHM team was, so we switch over to the following games

Major Mayhem: If your finger is itching to do something, this is the game you should be playing. Major Mayhem has been appointed by the President to save the world from the evil forces, and there is no way Mayhem can refuse the job because the enemies have held even his girlfriend captive. What we really liked about this game is its simplicity, super solid graphic quality and the bundle of weapons that has grenades, shot guns and pistols. Feel like a dude.

FIFA 13: It was one of the most awaited games of the year, and the excitement only grew when it was finally launched a few months back. Though there is not a sea change from its earlier version, improved detailing, controls and the new skills button add to the wonder of FIFA 2013. Also, the multiplayer options, fast response, easy player search and updating, and no hangs up make it even more exciting. Give it a shot.

The Last Driver: Go for the kill with this remarkable zombie game where you need to be the last driver of the world and kill every zombie that comes on your way. Though the graphic quality is poor, and the car update doesn’t really help, it’s still fun to shamelessly go on a killing spree. The controls are amazing, there are no hangs-ups and the missions are easy to accomplish.

Agent Dash: An alternative of The Temple Run, Agent Dash is presented in a better manner than the game that it gets inspired from. We wish Agent Dash was a bit slimmer, metaphorically and literally, so that he could run fast and respond swiftly to controls.

Bastion: While the background music still remains one of its USP, the game looks enriching on the New iPad for which Bastion has been customised considering the retina display. The game that has won more than a hundred awards is a narrative where the player leads his civilization’s final quest for survival as guided by a narrator.

Price: $4.99
The Room: Belonging to the ‘escape the room’ genre, this game lets you enjoy the best of your iPad. Brilliant sound, classy, yet creepy graphics and the touch controls give this game a powerful user experience.
Size: 125 MB

Price: £2.99
God of Blades: We are not very happy with the way the combat features have been developed and the touch screen swipes, however, the way in which its developer, White Whale Games, has packaged it makes us forget everything that we wished were there in this 2D runner. It’s one of its kind games on Apple store.
Size: 133 MB
Price: $2.99

Sky Gamblers: Rise Of Glory: Be a World War 1 fighter pilot, and just go on a mission that will make you feel like a war-veteran. You can either go solo in Campaign mode or play it along with a maximum of eight online players. Considering the era in which this game was based, we were pretty amazed by the sharp turns that the planes take because during WW1, planes would break into two if they tried to make a sharp turn. Never mind, we still love it.

Rayman Jungle Run: The plays as great as it looks. What really works well for this game is its sound, retina display suited graphics, cloud save support and extra smooth touch features. The ultra cool games makes you run constantly making your way through 40 levels.

Size: 49.3 MB
Price: $ 2.99
Blast-A-Way: Use bombs, teleporters, rebuilders, colourisers, portals, colour gates and a lot more to help three robots get out of the exit. Well, it’s not as simple as it sounds because you will have to cross a lot of levels made of wood, metal, fabric, stone and plastic. The truly 3D has been doing exceptionally well on App Store.
Size: 46.9 MB

Price: $4.99
Fieldrunners 2 HD: Though this sequel came after a really long time, but considering the manner in which this successor has been beefed-up, the delay seems to have done good for the game. This is one of those tower-defense games.
Size: 306 MB
Price: $7.99

Highway Rider: A motorbike racing game that will keep you hooked for hours and hours. As a rider, you will have to make close calls by riding as close to passing vehicles as possible. The more close calls you make the more speed you gain. The game however gets sudden glitch at time, which could be pretty annoying. Rest, it’s good fun.
