ICC Pro Cricket 2015 review
The official game of the 2015 World Cup is best enjoyed on mobile.

Ever since the 1999 World Cup, an official game is launched every 4 years to celebrate the marquee tournament among the fans. 2015 is no different as Disney India have come up with the official ICC ProCricket 2015 game for the cricket-crazy nation. Disney have tried to set things straight and cash in on the frenzy behind cricket in India with this new game but have they succeeded?
The game has been launched on Android, iOS, PCs and DTH platform. But a lot in this game shows its origins for a mobile game than anything else.

Cut to where the love lies - in batting - of course, it bears resemblance to many old cricket games. With the 360 analog control on field and a marker to tell you where the ball will land, nothing new is on offer! On the contrary, the batting shots have been narrowed down to just two - grounded and lofted. The other problem with batting is that there is no timing meter anywhere, so you don’t know when is the right time to play a shot!

Bowling is not very easy as firstly you have to choose the length, then the line and if that goes well try after try for the newbies, time the release of the ball to not bowl a no-ball. There are three game modes - World Cup, Quick Play mode and World Tour mode. The World Cup mode offers a 5-over-a-side match, which was enjoyable as winning is not a problem at all after you get used to the ‘timing’ of the shots.
The ‘ultimate team’ styled concept of World Tour is a nice feeling of playing other composite sides in 2 over matches – with a requirement for a number of local players in your side. Train, upgrade, sell, buy! Dream Team is your team and you can do whatever you want. This is a great concept, however let down by having no way to compete against other people – with no online features in the game.

The other stand out feature of the game is the licensed players’ names from all the 14 teams participating in this World Cup 2015, unlike the EA sports series.
Our verdict
The ICC ProCricket can be developed on so many issues of glitches and error reports, but the World Tour mode is worth a try for the team manager residing in you who wants the best out of best in his dream team.
