You are very popular on Indian television, and have a massive fan following. Have you ever thought of venturing in films?

I am glad for all the love and fanfare that I get to see, even though I have only done two shows. My fans are very vocal. If they think that I made a wrong decision or if they are not happy with a particular scene, then they tell it to me. I consider them to be a part of my family. I have not thought of venturing into films as of yet. I hope I get to do something that can move people’s hearts and change their minds. I hope I can make a difference and inspire people. That’s the kind of film that I want to do.

How different is the Indian television industry as compared to Bollywood?

I think both the mediums are great. Both of them help you spread awareness. You reach out to people with different perspectives. I feel very lucky doing Television and hopefully will act in Bollywood soon. Both give you popularity and fame, I don’t know how different are they but there are a lot of similarities.

What according to you is an ideal career and why?

For me whatever makes me happy, whatever I am passionate about is my ideal career. Like right now I am extremely satisfied with the kind of work I am doing. I want to learn more and grow as a person, as well as an actor. Acting is my passion. Say, tomorrow if I am not satisfied as an actor, I would maybe love to have a restaurant of my own as I love food. It will be my ideal career then, at that point of time. Anything that makes me passionate, is my ideal career.

What is your idea of an ideal romantic date?

For me an ideal romantic date would have food, good company and since I am a water baby and love beaches, would be by the seashore. It could also be sitting at a nice warm and cosy cottage by the fireplace, while having great food and a great conversation and listening to jazz music.

What is your favourite hangout spot for a romantic date?

I really enjoy having dinner at St. Regis by The Mekong. It is an Asian restaurant. In London, I happen to go this place at Mayfair called The Park Chinois.

What do you find sexy in a man?

The way a man speaks, the way he presents himself, his personality, the perfume he wears, and his choice of shoes. I think I find all things sexy in a man.

What according to you is one romantic getaway destination that one simply cannot miss out on?

I have not been to a lot of romantic destinations. I have been to Istanbul and it is beautiful but I really loved Maldives and cried when I had to leave.

It is said that the key to a man’s heart is through his tummy. What would you cook to impress a man?

I can really impress a man as I can cook very well, expect from rotis. If a man is a non vegetarian, I might try my hands at some brown curry and rice. If the man is vegetarian, I might try something Indian as rajma chawal.

What has been the weirdest thing that a fan has ever done for you?

It was a gesture that I will never forget. A female fan got a tattoo of me on her back and showed it to me. I can’t imagine how painful it must have been for her. It was not weirdness, it was madness. But yes, hats off to her.

One secret about women, that men should know?

I don’t know about other women but I would say if you take me on a date for the first time, please ask me if I would like to have something to go with my drink. I can’t drink wine all by itself, I need food with it. Men make a mistake by taking you out for a date and not ordering any food. It is such a put off.

While working out, which part of the body do you focus most on?

I really like a nice sexy lower body. I think it looks nice with your dresses and denims. That is the part I love to focus on for my workout, and of course, a flat tummy.

How should a guy ask you out?

He should not try too hard. A little bit of sweet talking on messages and some compliments and appreciations would work just fine.

How sexy do you find men who cook?

Since food is my first love, I would really like my man to cook for me.

And what should a man cook to impress you?

I really like seafood and spicy food, so maybe a nice prawn curry and rice. I also like continental food so maybe chicken breast in mushroom sauce would be good.
