Music reviews: Brian Wilson, Mumford & Sons, Snoop Dogg and more
Want to hear some good music? Here are the albums of the month.

No Pier Pressure – Brian Wilson
Genre: Soft Rock
This is possibly the American legend’s last studio album, as the man has himself announced retirement this year. Although most songs feature younger trendy singers, in the album, and lack in Wilson’s signature style, ‘The Last Song’ brings back his old gilded harmonies.

Wilder Mind – Mumford & Sons
Genre: Pop/Alternative Rock

This UK based band’s fourth studio album marks a departure from their folk rock sound and enters the mainstream by introducing electronic instruments. The old loyalists will miss the banjo and other acoustic instruments. Good, nonetheless.
Bush – Snoop Dogg
Genre: Hip Hop/ Funk/ Disco

Conceived as a tribute to the funk and R&B of the 1970s, Bush is easily a textbook hit. Old association with producer Pharrell Williams continues, with Stevie Wonder, Charlie Wilson and other noted R&B musicians featuring in the album.
Superspeed – Lido & Canblaster
Genre: Hip Hop/ Electronic
Canblaster once composed soundtracks for video games. He brings in the same twists and turns, combined with his typical humorous pop-tropes in this collaboration with Norwegian producer Lido, for Pelican Fly, a Belgian label. Highly recommended for EDM fans.
