On A Road Trip With Pooja Misrra

In the flesh Pooja Misrra is everything a covergirl should be and more. Exotic: Check. Deep, dark, mysterious eyes: Check. Both powerful and vulnerable: Check. A mix of Girl next door and an ability to slip into a bikini on a dare: Check, check, check.

This is very important, especially since cinema isn’t just about acting anymore. It’s also about emerging from the sea in a tiny bikini, as much as it is about the ability to play tonsil hockey with the co-stars, pelvic thrusts and trouser devastatingly hot item songs. But she has something else too, a nose for making money – for instance, right now she is toying with the idea of starting her own underwear label. You would imagine it to be something along the lines of Agent Provocateur, inspired largely from her own extensive lingerie collection - she claims to own almost the entire Victoria’s Secret collection. But the hardworking sort that she is, she’d like to make underwear for men. “Designing for men of all sizes especially the well endowed would be really fun! I would call it ‘Come, get some’," she laughs.

Why won't you name it after yourself? Are you afraid people who don’t like you won't buy it?

As far as people who don't like me not buying is concerned, you would be surprised to know, they will be the first to lay their hands on it and check it out!

Do people who don’t like you bother you?

People who don't like me don't bother me in the least. My parents did not bring me up to be a people pleaser! Those who do like me good for them, those who don’t – we should get a beer.

Do you have a business idea that you are dying to get off the ground?

Yup. I have turned producer and have just finished making the pilot of two riveting shows, one is a food show called "deconstructing international cuisine with simple Indian ingredients," and the other a relationship based show called "Love Sutra". I am also planning to make a music video shortly, followed by a movie.

You said you like the media attention, right?

Contrary to perceptions, I am really quite media shy! You would never find me getting aggressive, but yes if there is a stand I want to take, I will definitely take it!

Have you ever thought about insuring your breasts?

Well I have already insured my legs and I reckon after all the staring, peeking etc., my awesome twosome are up next!

Would you like to do a topless picture?

As a matter of fact that's something I have never done before. So why not, I would do a topless picture in the near future.... As Baz Lurman said “Do one thing everyday that you have never done!”

What would be your ultimate road trip?

My ultimate road trip would be one all over Europe. I can alternate between sarees and bikinis and do a full 360 degrees of Yashraj films from Chandani to Dhoom!

What can't you live without on the road?

I can't live without music on the road! From soft rock to jazz to funk! Bring it on!

Do you like adventure?

I live for adventure! Nothing beats the adrenalin rush of living of the edge! I am a Piscean-Arien cusp! And the Aries in me is quite the daredevil!

If we took you on a date, would you be up for bungee jumping?

I would love to bungee. In fact, we could even do a twerk before and after if you are up for it.

Always, but first tell us, are you a natural?

I am a natural all the way! I guess I started developing while I was still in school so I'm totally comfortable in my skin!

Are you a Game of Thrones fan?

I am totally not a fan of Game of Thrones...as I always fight for the oppressed, the weak and the needy.

Who has been your biggest girl crush growing up?

That's a close tie between Jennifer Lopez, for her girly sexiness and Madonna, for her shocking, in your face rebellion.

What’s the coolest place you’ve ever been naughty in?

It was in a convertible with its roof down, speeding at 120 km per hour! Now that was a rush alright!

It’s a stretch I love. Remind me to show you.

Are you a naked-around-the-house sorta girl?

Well I love seeing, loving and being with myself! And that sure is better achieved by having nothing on when alone! I love the full monty at home.

Full entertainment for the window cleaners then. What’s the wildest dare you’ve ever taken up?

We'll someone dared me to do this bold and brazen FHM cover and I was like eat this!

What do you look for in a man?

I’m not a bad catch, so the man I find should be as close to perfect as possible! To begin with, he needs to have a relaxed, silent confidence about him, besides a sexy sense of humour that breaks even the tensest of situations. I bore easily so he needs to look awesome to keep me turned on 24/7 .... And if he wants me for good, he better be a beast in bed!

Do you consider yourself a sexual person?

For you to see my sexual side you will need to earn it! But once I get it going, yup! I am an extremely sexual person. If I’m with someone, there will be lots of hotel vacations and ordering room service.

Tell us about your private life. Dating anyone at the moment?

Not right now. I am totally enjoying being single and am trying and testing the waters.

What are your thoughts on Fifty Shades of Grey? Must try or overhyped?

I personal feel Fifty Shades of Grey is overhyped and monotonous. It keeps harping on about S&M whereas Kamasutra, which has been handed down through the ages, is far more educating and gives us respite by showing different poses!

What do you think guys find attractive in you?

You will have to answer that for me! But from what I figure, it's in the way I talk, the way I carry myself, my fire, my attitude! And of course my already insured and to be insured assets help!

Have you ever had a one night stand?

Ha! Ha! Ha! That's for me to know and you to find out!

What about the walk of shame?

Once or twice. But I’d like to avoid it as much as possible. Its terrifying.

Do you think that girls are more confident than men in bed?

Of course women are more confident in bed. After all, god has made us with more interesting umm…lets just say detailing! Just when you underestimate a woman she will surprise you with her sexual prowess. That's the beauty of a woman on top!

How different is a version of you on-screen from the real you?

Well, as you would have figured, I am sexy in real life but my on-screen persona remains totally unexplored! So I guess the showbiz bigwigs need to wake up to that!

What is the sexiest outfit you’ve ever worn?

It was for a show stopper I had walked for Jean Paul Gaultier in Singapore. It very skillfully hid my bare essentials by diamonds, which were strung together!

Do you ever get hit on by married men?

Yes, and I think its repulsive. I think the greedy breed of married men repulse and bore me the most! They already have a wife at home, yet they go chasing hot women out of sheer hunger! I for one would never ever date a married man!

What all that has been written about you isn't true?

There is a lot of rubbish that has been printed, but it doesn't bother because whoever I have worked with has always repeated me! I guess my commitment to excellence is evident and is there for everyone to see!

Favourite holiday destination?

They have to be Turkey, Greece and Mykanos.

Whats your favourite workout move?

Kick backs! You crouch forward to kick back with full gusto!

Are there any film roles you’d fancy?

I would love to explore all genres of movies. From comedy where I get to display my comic timing to action where I get to flaunt my assets, to dancing which I absolutely love doing, to romance where in I can cry at the drop of a hat!

What’s your favourite song?

My current favourite is a rap I've just made. It will release soon for everyone to enjoy!
