Late Nights – Jeremih

Genre: R&B/Hip Hop

The high pitched singer with an elastic vocal range has been compared to Smoky Robinson for his voice quality. So, this third album from the artist is an essential album to own, for all R&B fans. The three singles, Don’t Tell’ em, Planes and Tonight Belongs to U! have already been doing rounds for a few months now.

Genre: Dance Pop

A follow up to Derulo’s Talk Dirty, this album is about impact, drawing the most inclusive and powerful emotions out. He makes a deliberate shift from R&B to an audacious pop style with relative ease. The single Want to Want Me stands out as a crisp, feel-good blast of infatuated power-pop.

Before this World – James Taylor

Genre: Folk, Country

For all those who’d been wondering where the guy had disappeared for over 13 years, this is the answer. With his most direct studio record in many years, Taylor infuses simplicity with his quintessential nostalgic mood and exhibits a renewed focus on his voice and guitar.

Hold Fast – Christian Letts

Genre: Indie Rock

Christian Letts, the guitarist for Edward Sharpe and Magnetic Zeroes, moves away from his main band’s cheery campfire sing-alongs in his first solo album Hold Fast. It is a largely acoustic exploration of faith and sin. The entire album is heavily affected by the overproduction of Marcus Mumford’s lean studio shine.

The Fool – Ryn Weaver

Genre: Alternative Pop

The much hyped pop newcomer, Ryn Weaver, burst onto the scene last year with her electrifying single OctaHate. The album hasn’t really been able to rise up to the levels of the single, yet these wistful traditional travelling songs carry some intense, heart pounding standouts.
