Finally the time of the year has come once again when the turn of the mysterious misty mornings and falling of the scarlet red leaves call for that gigantic woolen scarf while the pumpkin urges you to spice up everything. What would be a more better way than spending a crisp autumn weekend with the one you love, in an enchanting ‘escape it all’ location that is absolutely irresistible this season. And only just to make you fall in love with the feeling for one more time, we have brought to you some of the choicest cars that would help in planning a perfect drive date behind the wheels, with the open road ahead of you and rekindle that cozy autumnal feeling that we all know and cherish.

Mazda Miata

Just hop inside with your date, drop the top, and hit the road—the Miata is a modern-day take on the classic British sports car. This little car is definitely big fun, and guaranteed to put a smile on your face, no matter where you point it. It's formula of light weight and low power was at odds with the horsepower revolution taking place in both the U.S. and Japanese markets, but with 30 years of hindsight there's no denying the Miata was a home run. It endures to this day as an elemental sports car, appealing to enthusiasts craving a pure, open-air driving experience. Looking through its evolution we see the MX-5's formula has remained true, and in this niche genre that's definitely a good thing. The trunk won't hold more than a day or two’s worth of extra clothes, so it’s perfect for your shorter weekend getaways.
Jaguar E-Type

There are few cars which are quite as good to look at as the Jaguar E-Type. With a sleek design and effortless performance, it’s one of the best cars to jet away on a romantic drive. Though the E-Type would soon rank as perhaps the most beautiful car ever built (as proclaimed by Enzo Ferrari and enshrined at the Museum of Modern Art), its shape was determined for racing, and is echoed in the aforementioned C- and D-Types that predated it. The car has undoubtedly defined the 60s generation , quickly cementing its iconic status along with other giants of design, art, music and fashion. It might be an expensive car and a tricky one to maintain, but in order to celebrate the big day there are few quite like the E-Type.

Aston Martin DB5
Going to the impressively practical to the classically beautiful, the Aston Martin DB5 is arguably one of the most iconic sports cars of all time. It’ll bring a bit of Hollywood stardom to any date, and that’s for sure. With a bit of Bond magic, the DB5 is a real showstopper of a vehicle. It’ll certainly add some sparkle to the big day. All Goldfinger Continuation DB5s have been painted the same shade of Silver Birch, and all of them features working examples of the original DB5 Bond car gadgets. That includes a rear smoke screen and oil slick delivery system, revolving license plates, simulated front machine guns, a bullet resistant rear shield, simulated tire slasher, and a removable passenger seat roof panel. Meanwhile, the inside is augmented with a simulated radar screen tracker map, telephone, gear knob actuator button, armrest and center console-mounted switchgear, under-seat weapons storage rack, and a remote control for gadget activation. The vintage masterpiece, along with the timeless synergy of being renowned as a ‘Bond car’ has added substantial value to the creation. It’s value can be precisely measured in the market price of past Aston Martins made famous by 007.
Nissan 350Z
The 350Z is another exciting ride for two—the V6 engine’s exhaust is throaty and growly, the handling is tight on the curves, and the acceleration is fantastic for a smaller sports car. Used 350Zs can be had as a hard top or convertible; either way, it’s just plain fun to drive. The car features automatic climate control, heated seats, Brembo brakes, forged alloy wheels, and a Bose stereo with an in-dash CD changer. The inside features include automatic climate control, heated seats, a Bose stereo with an in-dash CD changer, and a leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel. There’s even a little room in the back, like for a shared bag of golf clubs, or for a well-provisioned picnic basket for two.
Volkswagen Beetle
While it’s sadly out of production, but you can still get your hands on a used version. The Volkswagen Beetle shares the look of the iconic Bug your parents (or grandparents) drove back in the day, but ups the fun factor with a ragtop or turbo version, automatic or manual, to relive the courtships of your forebears. A compact car offered by the German carmaker through the CBU (Completely Built Unit) route, is powered by a 1.4 litre turbocharged petrol engine that is mated to a 7 speed automatic gearbox. A test drive is set to make you recall the way Sonam Kapoor drove the bright yellow Beetle famous again after the 2013 Bollywood film Aisha.
