The performances of these Bollywood actors spoke volumes but unfortunately, we don’t see the fame that they really deserve
We all are aware that it is not easy to survive in the cut-throat industry of Bollywood. With its political drama and controversies now and then, it becomes quite difficult to gather the limelight that one might deserve. Despite their marvellous performances in many films, many actors and actresses remain underrated and thus, here we bring the list of 10 actors who we wish, we get to see in more quality projects.
- Shefali Shah
A still of Shefali Shah from the series ‘Delhi Crime’, which is one of Shefali’s top performances.
Shefali Shah is one of the most versatile actresses Bollywood has got. Although it was quite early for her to be playing the character of a mother in ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’, she pulled off Neelam like no one else. Also, it would be unfair to not include the series ‘Delhi Crime’ where she shook our soles with her spectacular performance. The series won the ‘Best Drama’ award at International Emmy Awards.
- Jimmy Shergill
Looking at this pictures, we know our girls are smiling and crushing over those intense looks.
With so many performances in the Punjabi as well as Hindi film industry, Shergill has never delivered a dull performance to date. Having done movies like Tanu weds Manu, Mohabbatein, A Wednesday and many more, this handsome man hasn’t got the fame he deserved. Jimmy Shergill was recently seen in Collar Bomb for OTT.
- Sanya Malhotra
From 1 to 10, Sanya will get 11 for her performace in acting and dancing.
After making her debut in Dangal along with Amir Khan, Sanya was still unrecognizable to a lot of people, but then she spoke volumes with her fantastic performance in movies like Badhai Do, Pagglait and Ludo. A trained dancer who got to dance on screen for the first time in ‘Badhai Ho’, deserves a lot more appreciation than she gets now.
- Surveen Chawla
Still trying to understand why Suvreen’s name is not on the list of Bollywood’s top actresses.
Suvreen caught the attention of the audience with her work in Hate Story 2. Although it has been a long time for her to be working in the industry now, we still wish to see her on-screen more often. Suvreen has shared in her interviews about her choice of films as she has faced the casting couch, where she was body shamed.
- Richa Chadha
Currently, Richa Chadha is shooting for the Fukrey series.
Richa Chadha is like a wave who knows what she wants to achieve. She has given some iconic performances like Najma Khatoon in Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ and it is just not possible to not include her character Bholi Punjaban from ‘Fukrey series, and we would like to see her in more and different characters of this actress.
- Supriya Pathak
Supriya Pathak and her versatility is a rare find in Bollywood movies.
Giving us one of the most iconic characters of Hansa Ben from ‘Khichdi’ (who was adorable), Supriya Pathak set the bar extremely high with her excellent performance in Ramleela, which was full of sass. Her performance was very well appreciated by the audience.
- Konkana Sen Sharma
From playing the character of a clumsy girl to a calm and composed lady, Konkana knows it all.
While we have seen Konkana acting in many Hindi films and she has been able to make her name on the list of some great actors in movies like ‘Wake Up Sid’ and Delhi 6’, one of her underrated performances is ‘Aaja Nachle’, although the actress didn’t get sufficient screen time.
- Kirti Kulhari
Anjana Menon from Four More Shots Please! is one character to take lessons for sassy comebacks.
Well, if you have watched ‘Pink’, which is one of the most iconic and inspirational movies of Bollywood, you know Falak Ali played by Kirti Kulhari was a strong character in the movie. Also, the actress spilt a lot of sass and emotion in the series ‘Four More Shots Please’. Oh! We wish we get to see her performing on screen soon.
- Divya Dutta
If you have ever heard Divya Dutta narrate something, you would agree that her words flow like a river.
The actress is not just known for her extremely good acting skills, but also for her beautiful voice which is poetry in itself when it comes to narration. Starting her journey in the year 1994, Divya has come a long way but sadly, she hasn’t gotten the fame that her performances deserved.
Be it Maddy from RHTDM or Arya from Decoupled, we just can’t stop crushing over that innocent face.
Maddy from ‘Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein’ stole the hearts of many girls, ad the movie still feels so fresh to watch. Although Madhavan has garnered appreciation for his performances in Bollywood movies, we still wish we could have his name among the industry’s top stars.
