War of the Gods!
Smite may not be a new game but it is one game which revamps itself every two weeks. But, this festive season we think it is time to pick Ganesha, Rama, Agni and take on Ravana, Zeus or Kali in the Cursed Arena.
We have seen and read various iterations of Ramayana. In every one of these versions Rama has shot out his magical arrows and caused major devastation to his enemies. Now you can step into his shoes, fly through the air and shoot out arrows which explode on contact. Or you can become Ganesha, and be the ultimate obstacle breaker for your team. You can even step into the shoes of Agni and become the volatile fire god.
You can do all this and more in Smite’s various game modes like Arena, which is a 5 on 5 battle against other players. Joust, a 3 on 3 gods, objective driven, lane battle through jungles. Conquest, another 5 on 5 war on a large map or one of the new modes like the Cursed Arena.
All you need to do is pick one of the 90 gods, which include gods from the Norse, Hindu, Eyptian pantheons and more. But be careful, all these gods have different abilities and different categories. They range from Guardians, Mages, and Warriors to Assassins. Take for example; Neith the Egyptian world weaver shoots a bow and arrow. He most devastating move is an arrow that can shoot anywhere on the map. Kali, our Hindu goddess, becomes quite literally un-killable with her signature move. Thor takes to the air and crashes down on his chosen prey causing major damage. Loki disappears and backstabs the offending god. So it is essential for you to know which god to chose and how to play against the opposing teams gods.
Also you need to pick the god according to the game mode. In the Clash mode, which is a no frills lane fight against 5 gods; you shouldn’t pick an assassins because they have lower resistance and health. However in an Arena, they quite often dominate the match.
Coming to the new Cursed Arena mode, Kukulkan the Mayan serpent god of wind has been trapped in the Arena map and his struggling against his bonds. That is breaking down the Arena into bits and pieces. You have to fight the opposing team amongst falling meteors, cascading grounds and endless pits. And you won’t be able to even blink amongst the heart thumping action. We love this game and its game modes and you will too. Moreover it’s a Free-To-Play game. So don’t wait, just download it today
