Vietnamese star and a former Mrs. Universe pageant winner, Tram Luu’s journey in medical and cosmetics entrepreneurship is truly inspiring. Here’s how she embarked on her biggest dreams in fashion and business.
Born and raised in a coastal city Da Nang, Vietnamese star Tram Luu’s journey resonates rags to riches story. She changed the hapless trajectory of her life with her hard work, passion, excellent entrepreneurial skills and determination. Tram knew that she was capable of more, the moment she arrived in the US at the young age of 16. From there, there was no looking back as the Vietnamese personality started a business in the medical aesthetic industry that shot her to fame. Tram’s business journey started after she completed her graduation and took over a store in a cold, dusty and poor town of Texas. However, she quickly turned tables down by gaining financial success at the Texas store that motivated her to start many other future businesses. The financial stability helped Tram to materialise her longstanding interest in the field of art and fashion. Out of great interest, Tram opened a spa in Houston, Texas that focussed on wellness and cosmetic procedures.

“Life rarely leads us in a straight pathway. While growing up as a child in Vietnam, I always had an interest in fashion and beauty. When I moved to the US as a young woman, I became a serial entrepreneur with several successful business adventures. But it wasn’t my passion. So, I started my own medical spa with my boyfriend who is a physician”, she said about how she started with the spa.
Tram elaborated that the spa has cosmetic procedures like non-invasive aesthetic treatments that include Vampire Facelift, Botox, fillers, and skin treatments. “I realized that feeling sensuous not only comes from looking good but feeling gratified from within as well. Cut to today’s time, the medical spa has evolved to include hormone optimization and sexual health-related therapies for men and women. Regarding the former, we often give testosterone and or estrogen via ‘plant-based bio-identical hormone pellets’. Pellets the size of a rice grain are safely inserted under the skin with long-lasting and effective results. Libido is almost always enhanced. Many couples we treat say their relationship has been rejuvenated through increased intimacy and pleasure”, she mentions her spa’s treatments and results.
Tram elaborated that the spa has cosmetic procedures like non-invasive aesthetic treatments that include Vampire Facelift, Botox, fillers, and skin treatments.
Tram saw a great opportunity in the field of medicine that she felt was undergoing a drastic transformation. “We can now treat several medical conditions with regenerative medicine. For example, we can re-grow damaged or scarred tissue through something called PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma). By injecting one’s own blood the product that has been concentrated and activated, you can get rid of scars, heal wounds, grow tissue including nerve, blood vessels, etc.”, she added. Through her medical and cosmetics work, Tram discovered that men may be less forthcoming when discussing sexual matters with their doctor. “That is why we founded ‘OB-Men’, a clinic designed with men in mind to make them feel more comfortable. The male version of an OB-Gyn is to speak. We also have a couple of clinics, and reserve special clinic times for women.”

Carving a niche in the medical and aesthetics industry is not the only milestone of Tram Luu. She wanted to spread her wings of dreams and take a flight to fancy by enrolling in Mrs. Universe pageant in Durban, South Africa in 2017. Besides bringing the crown home, Tram was also bestowed with the title of Businesswoman of The Year in the same competition of Mrs. Universe. This pageant made us see the philanthropic side of Tram as she got engaged with visits to orphanages, donations and helping the poor. Describing her tremendously inspiring journey Tram said, “Twenty years ago I would have never imagined my career would lead me to where I am today. It seems like new opportunities have opened new doors. For those of us willing to pursue our passion we usually find it, even if it is where we least expect to discover it.”
Today, she has dazzled on the cover of many fashion magazines and earned a great reputation in the aesthetics industry. We deem her as a beauty with the brains and skill to shape her life so successfully.
