Kashmir is well-known for its beautiful locations, views, and films shot in those locations. After shooting several films in the locals of Kashmir for several decades, Kashmir has opened two new theatres for the people residing there and Pathaan will be the first film that will be going to screened in the theatres.

After the rise of militancy in 1990, theatres in the state were shut down, and things got improved last year after INOX opened the first-ever multiplex in Jammu & Kashmir’s Srinagar on 20th September 2022.

The inauguration video of theatres is circulating around the media, and in the video, you can easily see the posters of Shah Rukh’s Pathaan. The government’s idea behind opening cinema halls in Kashmir is to expand entertainment options (apart from tourism) in the state and send a message of normalcy after the removal of Article 370 from Kashmir in August 2019.

Before Pathaan, Ram Charan & Junior NTR ‘RRR’ was the first film to get a screening in Kashmir after nearly three decades in theatres of Pulwama and Shopian followed by Aamir Khan ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ which inaugurated the INOX Srinagar.

On the other hand, Pathaan is also set to release in Japan on September 01, 2023. Posters are also unveiled by the makers of the film.
