Once again, Farhan Akhtar is seen in trouble regarding his most anticipated film, ‘Jee Le Zara’. A source stated that Anushka Sharma, who was approached to play Priyanka Chopra’s character in ‘Jee Le Zara’, said ‘NO’ to the makers of the film.
Since the announcement, Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zara has been making headlines. First, dates were the issue in delaying the film, then Priyanka Chopra’s exit, and now Anushka Sharma has also said no to Farhan Akhtar. Later, it was stated that Katrina would leave the film, but then it turned out to be just a rumour.
According to the leading news portal, Anushka Sharma refused to do the film because she is also facing date issues due to her prior commitments. According to the sources, Anushka Sharma was excited to be a part of that female-centric film, but she was unable to provide her with the film’s release dates. The dates were reportedly clashing with the dates on which the actress was already in the cards.
The audience was so excited about the film, but its continuous delay made them disappointed. On the work front, Anushka Sharma will be next seen in Chakda ’Xpress, based on the life of Indian Woman Cricketer ‘Jhulan Goswami.’
The next news that we’ll look forward to is that Varun Dhawan will start shooting for his next film with Atlee next week. Dhawan is busy with promotions for his film ‘Bawaal’ with his co-star Janhvi Kapoor, and now his collaboration with Atlee will make her fans excited for his upcoming projects.
Varun Dhawan will start shooting for the film on July 16, which is tentatively titled #VD18. Atlee will produce the film, and Kalees will be in charge of the director’s chair. The first schedule of the film is going to be shot in Mumbai, and Atlee will be on set to oversee the production work except for the action and song sequences.
It is said that VD18 will be the remake of Thalapathy Vijay’s 2016 ‘Theri’, which was the 2nd highest-grossing Tamil film of 2016. The film will release next year on May 31, 2024. Anushka Sharma was approached to play the female lead, and it is said she has given her NOD for the film. Now the makers are in search of a second female lead.
This venture will mark Varun’s first collaboration with Tamil Director Atlee. Let us tell you that Atlee is the director of Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film Jawan, which is set to be released on September 07, 2023, but he will not direct Varun Dhawan; either he will produce the film, #VD18.
On the other front, Varun Dhawan is working for Citadel India along with Samantha Ruth Prabhu, and they have currently completed their shooting in Serbia.
