The 69-year-old Lahiri was admitted to the hospital for about a month and was discharged on Monday. According to the reports, Bappi Lahiri was suffering from multiple health issues, but the reason behind his death was OSA (obstructive sleep apnea). The news of the singer’s death has left the nation devastated. The fans are mourning his demise and are praying that his soul finds peace. The music industry has lost two of the most iconic people, who not only were the legends of music of their era but will remain immortal in the world of music.

The legendary music composer and singer Alokesh Lahiri, popularly known as Bappi Lahiri, was born on November 27, 1952, in a Bengali family which was extremely rich in the tradition of music. A lesser-known fact about Bappi Da is that he is family to the King of Music, Kishore Kumar. Some of you might not be aware of the fact that Kishore Kumar was Bappi Lahiri’s maternal Uncle. Lahiri was brought up in a musical family and it was inherited in him that he started practicing singing and playing table at the age of 3. His family was also in a close relationship with the late singer Lata Mangeshkar. The famous personality was very well known for the gold chains he used to wear for luck.
