Comedian Actor-director Satish Kaushik Passes Away At The Age of 66

Bollywood comedian actor and director Satish Kaushik died at the age of 66 in Gurugram, Delhi. His sudden demise has shocked many of his close friends and Bollywood celebrities.

As we all knew “Death is the ultimate truth of this world”,  that is the ultimate truth of life. Veteran actor and director of Bollywood Satish Kaushik died at the age of 66 in Gurugram, Delhi on Wednesday. His sudden demise was confirmed by his close friend actor Anupam Kher, which has shocked many Bollywood celebrities and his close friends. Comedian-actor Satish Kaushik passed away due to a heart attack. Anupam Kher shared this unfortunate news through social media platforms, he wrote “I know death is the ultimate truth but I never thought in my dreams that I would write this about my best friend, Satish while I was alive”. “Such a sudden full stop on 45yrs of friendship!!”, he added.

The 66-year-old actor was in Gurugram, Delhi to visit someone, where he suffered a heart attack and his condition gets worsened. The actor passed away on his way to the hospital. According to sources, the actor’s body is at Fortis Hospital, Gurugram and it will be brought back to Mumbai after the postmortem. Many Bollywood celebrities such as Abhishek Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal, Anil Kapoor, Neena Gupta, and Kangana Ranaut among others pay tribute to this brilliant actor on social media.

A day before his death, Satish Kaushik attended the Holi party at Javed Akhtar’s residence in Mumbai. Satish Kaushik shared a glimpse of the fun Holi party he had with Bollywood stars on his social media account. Actor Ali Fazal shared a picture of the same Holi party he attended, in the picture Ali Fazal and his wife Richa Chadha posed with actor Satish Kaushik to pay tribute to the actor and wrote “Just a day before I met you… we broke bread and now you are gone”. Salman Khan also shared a picture of Satish Kaushik, in which he and his brothers were posing with Satish Kaushik and wrote “Always loved cared and respected him and shall always remember him for that he was… RIP Satish Kaushik”.

Actor Satish Kaushik was born on April 13, 1956, in Haryana. He had done his graduation from Delhi University and alumnus of the NSD (National School of Drama), and actor Anupam Kher was his batchmate in drama school. He also went to the Film and Television Institute of India. Satish had done several comedy roles in Bollywood movies and dramas in his career. He had the best comic timing. However, he got his fame from the Mr India movie (1987), in which he played the role of Calendar, who was a cook at Anil Kapoor’s house. He was also famous for his role as Pappu Pager in the Deewana Mastana movie.

Actor Satish Kaushik won twice the Filmfare Best Comedian Actor award for Ram Lakhan Movie (1990) and for Saajan Chale Sasural (1997). He debuted as a director with Anil Kapoor and Sridevi’s movie Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja (1993). Satish Kaushik was last seen in Chhatriwali movie(2023) as Ratan Lamba.
