Do You Know Your Body Type? Are You Wearing Your Clothes In Right Way? Let’s See..

Here is a lesser known fact. Men have three different body types, Ectomorphic, Mesomorphic and Endomorphic. These three body types need very different cuts when it comes to shirts.

Whenever you watch Hollywood at work, you would notice that they’re all dressed really well. Many believe that it is all movie magic. Let me tell you, it is not. You can also look that fine without much effort.  All you need to do is follow these simple rules to match your body type to what you are donning and, take the small, medium and large sizes with a grain of salt.

ECTOMORPH

You are tall, skinny with low levels of fat. You also have a hard time gaining weight and muscle. But, here is the good news. Almost all clothes are designed for your body type, especially the fashionable ones.

ERRORS ECTOMORPHS MAKE

If you are skinny, your first thought is to cover your body with oversized shirts to make it look bigger, but it doesn’t. In fact it just highlights how skinny you are and, makes you look shabby.

CORRECT WAYS OF DRESSING

As I have already told you, most of the trendiest clothes are designed for you. You just need to pick up slim or trim fit. Go for horizontal stripes and a wider or spread collar. That will give an illusion of wider shoulders and add weight to your upper body.

MESOMORPH

You guys spend time working on your athletic bodies and achieve that V shape we all have dream of having. But that leaves your shoulders too wide and waists too small. Is it any wonder you all have a hard time finding clothes?

ERRORS ECTOMORPHS MAKE

I know you spend hours lifting weights in the gym and it is only natural that you would want to show it off but, do it with style. Daniel Craig when he is playing James Bond is ripped but never shows his bulging muscles. Take it from me, veined skin and big muscles never look good.

CORRECT WAYS OF DRESSING

If you are buying your shirts of the top of the counter, a regular or a classic fit is a must for you guys. However if your shoulders are too wide, you need to get a slim fit shirt stitched to show off all the work you have put in your body. Wear a point collar, that will draw the observers eye vertically and show of that ‘V’ shaped figure. Also don medium to small sized patterns, they will accentuate your athletic build.

ENDOMORPH

That means us mere mortals.  Most of us our not built like Bollywood’s leading men. We like to eat, not gulp down protein shakes. That results in fat deposits around our gut and hips. Add to that our short arms and legs and slow metabolisms, it makes us look a bit square. Dressing right is a hard challenge for us but not impossible.

ERRORS ECTOMORPHS MAKE

We all think we are slimmer than we actually are. Let’s be frank, we all tuck our tummies in front of the mirror. We all want to dress in the most fashionable, trendy, body shaped clothes we find. As I have already told you, most of these are made for Ectomorph. The result is obscene.

CORRECT WAYS OF DRESSING

Try to always wear solids if your mid section is big. A monochromatic look will not only slim you down and makes you look taller. Stay away from horizontal stripes and large prints. Change those to vertical stripes and the prints to medium. Go for a narrow or standard collar to keep the observer’s eye from your curvy chin. Also go for structured shoulders. It will draw all the eyes upwards and balance out your middle regions.
