IPL 2023: CSK Vs LSG, A Sweet Homecoming Of Chennai Super Kings

Chepauk witnessed its home team led by “Thala” (Dhoni) in action after waiting 1426 days.  CSK won the match by 12 runs from LSG.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) marked their first win of this IPL season by defeating Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at MA Chidambaram Stadium also known as Chepauk Stadium. LSG won the toss and chose bowling first against Dhoni-led-CSK on Monday. Chennai Super Kings set the target of 218 runs to win the match. However, LSG failed to chase the mammoth score target and lose the match by 12 runs.

While batting first, CSK’s classy opening batsman Rituraj Gaikwad and 26-year-old Kiwi’s cricketer Devon Conway smash the runs with a good partnership of 57 off 31 balls and 47 off 29 balls respectively, setting up the big total against LSG.
