It’s been official that apart from several anticipated films, Jio Studios will come with sequels and new projects by next year
One of the most important labels in the Indian film business is ‘Jio Studios’. Stree, starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, marked the beginning of its adventure in 2018, and over the course of 5 years, it has produced a number of standout movies in a variety of languages and genres.

On 12th April 2023, Over 100 film and web series titles, including Bloody Daddy, starring Shahid Kapoor, as well as the Stree and Bhediya sequels, were revealed as part of Jio Studios’ future slate of India. For their forthcoming films, the media and content division of Reliance Industries Limited revealed that they are working with renowned directors like as Dinesh Vijan, Amar Kaushik, Aditya Dhar, Rajkumar Hirani, Sooraj Barjatya, Laxman Utekar, and Ali Abbas Zafar.
The studio has a slate of over 100 original web series and films in numerous languages, including Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, Gujarati, Bhojpuri (Bengali), and South which are ready for release. This movie lineup includes ‘Stree 2’ starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao, ‘Bhediya 2’ starring Varun Dhawan, ‘Bhul Chuk Maaf’ with Shraddha Kapoor and Kartik Aaryan. This lineup also includes Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan starring ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’, and R. Madhavan starring ‘Hisaab Barabar’. After Gasllight, the expectations from Vikrant Massey have increased, and again it is expected that he will not disappoint his fans in his new movie with Mouni Roy ‘Blackout’. Vijay Sethupathi always blows our minds when it comes to acting and this time it will be more special as this South Superstar will going to make his Hindi debut with ‘Mumbaikar’. Apart from this, the other films that are announced are ‘Section 84’ featuring Amitabh Bachchan, ‘Dhoom Dhaam’ with Pratik Gandhi and Yami Gautam, ‘Empire’ with Taapsee Pannu and Arvind Swamy, ‘The Storyteller’ with Paresh Rawal and Adil Hussain.
Prosenjit Chatterjee was last seen in Vikramaditya Motwane’s directorial Jubilee.
With the films, Jio Studio also announced its original web series, featuring Sanjay Kapoor with digital debutant Nana Patekar ‘Laal Batti’ which will be directed by Prakash Jha who is well known for its political thriller projects. Kay Kay Menon and Ashutosh Rana will be seen together for ‘Union: The Making Of India’, Sharad Kelkar as ‘Doctors’, and ‘A Legal Affair’ with Barkha Singh and Angad Bedi. ‘Rafuchakkar’ will remark as a Maniesh Paul OTT debut with Jio Studios.
In addition, Mini-Series by the Jio Studio showcases a slice of life Ishq Next Door starring Abhay Mahajan and Natasha Bharadwaj, Mohan Agashe and Siddharth Shaw’s ‘Do Gubbare and Sanjay Mishra and Anshuman Pushkar starrer ‘Hajamat’.
Along with the Bollywood movies, Jio Studio will also bring content from Regional Cinema like Baipan Bhari Deva, 1234, Kaata Kirrr, Kaalsutra, Four Blind Men, Aga Aai Aho Aai and Eka Kalache Mani starring Rohini Hattangadi, Vandana Gupte, Sukanya Kulkarni; Vaidehi Parshurami, Nipun Dharmadhikari; Priyadarshan Jadhav, Subodh Bhave, Sayaji Shinde; Ankush Chaudari; Renuka Sahane, Hruta Durgule, and Prashant Damle, respectively.

Additionally, the studio and SVF Entertainment have formed a significant partnership to work with prominent Bhopuri performers which includes Mithun Chakraborty, Jissu Sengupta, directors like Raj Chakraborty, Anirban Bhattacharya, Srijit Mukherjee, and Suman Ghosh.
