Kathal : A Jackfruit Mystery Trailer Review: Can Sanya Malhotra able to solve this mystery case of Kathal?

Watch the quirky mystery comedy starring Sanya Malhotra and featuring a cast of outlandish characters. The Netflix original movie Kathal will be available on the platform on May 19.

In the presence of the cast members Sanya Malhotra, Rajpal Yadav, Vijay Raaz and Anant Joshi, the trailer for the upcoming streaming movie “Kathal: A Jackfruit Mystery” was unveiled here on Thursday in the JW Marriot, Juhu in Mumbai.

The producers of the film Ektaa Kapoor, Guneet Monga, Ruchikaa Kapoor, and Achin Jain, as well as the director Yashowardhan Mishra and screenwriter Ashok Mishra, were also present for the Mumbai premiere.

‘Kathal’ will start streaming on Netflix from 19th May 2023.

In the movie, two jackfruits go missing. The investigation into the ‘crime’ has been given to Sanya’s character. Rajpal Yadav, Vijay Raaz, Anantvijay Joshi, and Neha Saraf are the cast members who aid Sanya’s character in her quest to locate the lost jackfruits..

The trailer begins with a parody of the iconic moment from the 2005 movie “Malamaal Weekly,” in which Rajpal Yadav scales the wall and listens in on a conversation. Rajpal Yadav, who plays a nosy journalist in the trailer, scales a wall at a crime scene only to be dealt with by Sanya Malhotra’s cop in an odd fashion.

Mahima uncovers something hidden beneath the surface of the case she has been obliged to take on, and this discovery alters her perspective on it.

Because priority is determined by a person’s standing in society and the amount of entertainment they provide, the media’s and the police’s treatment of this case is both hilarious and startlingly real. The plot also gives us a glimpse into the difficulties women encounter in achieving their goals in life, and how simply demonstrating their aptitude isn’t always enough for them.

Based on actual facts, the trailer presents a humorous story of two jackfruits, each weighing 15 kg, being stolen from a politician’s home and becoming a big deal because it happened there. Mahima, a rookie police officer, learns to comprehend how important a case like this is to individuals as she works to retrieve the missing jackfruits.

Overall the trailer looks good and humorous. The movie contains a lot of different elements and will make you laugh out loud because of the plot and characters that have been assembled for it. So anticipate the upcoming movie and invite your family and friends to watch it with you. The best part of the film is its Cast, each and every characters has done a brilliant homework about their characters.

Oscar winner ‘Guneet Monga’ is also a producer of the film.

Yashowardhan Mishra, who is also the co-writer and director of the movie, said of the trailer debut: “Kathal: A Jackfruit Mystery” is such an exciting experience.

“We have developed a story that will make the audiences laugh while also guaranteeing that they leave with a strong thought through our storytelling in conjunction with a group of incredibly committed and skilled performers,” Yashowardhan Mishra continued. We have carefully and sensitively developed every character’s graph because quirky comedies are rare. I can’t wait for people to view the movie on May 19 exclusively on Netflix.

Sikhya Entertainment and Balaji Telefilms jointly produced the movie. On the professional front, Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur will be portrayed in the upcoming biography by Dangal Girl Sanya Malhotra as Sillo Manekshaw and than she will seen sharing screen with Shahrukh Khan in ‘Jawan’.
