Mahira Khan, an actress best known for her role in Raees and the drama series Humsafar, ties the knot with businessman Salim Karim on October 1. On social media, a video of the wedding went viral. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, the wedding took place in a small ceremony at the Pearl Continental Hotel Bhurban.
An Instagram Story video of the “Humsafar” star walking down the aisle that Mahira’s manager, Anushay Talha Khan, posted to announce the news quickly went viral on social media. The 38-year-old Pakistani actor was spotted approaching the groom while wearing a pastel lehenga and a lavish veil. Salim greets her while wearing a powder blue saafa and a black achkan.
The actress first met Salim, the CEO of the Pakistani telecom business Simpaisa, in 2017, and they later got engaged in Turkey in 2019. Simpaisa allows transactions between merchants from various industries in more than 15 countries globally. Ali Askari and Mahira were previously married from 2007 to 2015. Azlaan, their 13-year-old son, resides with them (Mahira and Ali Askari).
Mahira most recently appeared in the Pakistani blockbuster “The Legend of Maula Jatt” with her frequent working partner Fawad Khan. In the upcoming Netflix series “Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo,” which also stars Sanam Saeed, the two actors will appear together onscreen.
She also appeared in a number of Pakistani films and television programmes, such as “Bol,” “Bin Roye,” “7 Din Mohabbat,” and “Manto,” among others. One of her most popular programmes was “Humsafar,” which also starred Fawad Khan.
