However, in recent years, several talented actors have taken this fierce step forward to break the barriers and challenge societal norms by portraying characters from the LGBTQ+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer) community onscreen.

Actor Jitendra Kumar also played his character really well. He played the love interest of Ayushmann Khurrana. The actor played his character with so much sensitivity and conviction.

Tv actress Kubbra Sait gained an appreciation for her role as a Transgender named Cuckoo in the Netflix show “Sacred Games”, which was released in 2018. She was the transgender in that show and falls in love with Ganesh Gaitonde (Nawazuddin Siddique). The actress nailed her character with such perfection that everyone loves her character and praised her work.

She played the character of Maanvi, who is a Trans Woman (who was assigned male at birth). She shifted to Chandigarh and work as a Zumba Trainer, where she fell in love with Ayushmann Khurrana.
