Rohit Sharma, the captain of the Indian team, decimated Afghanistan’s bowling lineup and laid the groundwork for his team’s triumph. Sachin Tendulkar took his X, shared his happiness, and praised both Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah for their performance. While Rohit hammered a century and Bumrah took a 4-fer. Tendulkar tweeted, “Two fine performances by Bumrah and Rohit were well supported by the bowling and batting units, respectively.”

Apart from the fastest 07 centuries, Rohit Sharma also broke another record which was made by Chris Gayle. He breached the spectacular record of former West Indies opener Chris Gayle for hitting the most sixes in International Cricket.
He has also surpassed Australian Ricky Pointing’s record and now ranks third in the list of most centuries in ODIs with 31 centuries with only Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli ahead of him. India will next play their match against Pakistan on Saturday at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
