There are still a few days left till we celebrate New Year’s Eve in 2024, but have you realised how exceptional 2023 has been so far? Apart from films, which are witnessed by everyone globally, the music industry has produced a tonne of new songs that have been listened to by music lovers.
Yes, some songs were remade again, but some filmmakers walked on the path of the original and produced hits that topped the music charts this year. So, without wasting much time, let’s dive right into the chart-buster albums of 2023 that got stuck in your head forever and from now it will never get old.

Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar
Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar was released on 08 March 2023, starring Ranbir Kapoor, and Shraddha Kapoor in lead roles. TJMM is one such film of 2023 that has some beautiful songs composed by Pritam and lyrics written by Amitabh Bhattacharya. If you sideline the little problematic storyline, you will find ear-soothing songs from the movie like ‘Jaadui’ sung by Jubin Nautiyal.
You will get the heartbreak song ‘O Bedardya’ sung by Arijit Singh, along with some mood-lifting songs like ‘Show Me the Thumka’ ‘Pyaar Hota Kayi Baar’, and ‘Tere Pyaar Mein’. But ‘Maine Pi Rakhi Hain’ will just be seen in the post-credit scene, it failed to make a place in our playlist.
Zara Hatke Zara Bachke
The soundtrack of the romantic comedy film was composed by Sachin-Jigar, and the lyrics were written by Amitabh Bhattacharya. Ahead of the release of the film, its songs thrilled the fans, which struck a chord with the audience.
‘Phir Aur Kya Chahiye’, ‘Tere Vaaste’, and ‘Sanjha’ were the songs that are still considered everyone’s favourites from the 2023 song list. Arijit Singh, Altamash Faridi, Shadab Faridi, Sanchet Tandon, and Shilpa Rao have given their voices to the songs. Only ‘Baby Tujhe Paap Lagega’, sung by Himesh Reshammiya, was underwhelming in the album.
Satyaprem Ki Katha
Although the movie had a rather unconventional storyline, the music was composed by Anjjan, Meet Bros, Tanishk Bagchi, Payal Dev, Manan Bhardwaj, and Rochak Kohli, and the lyrics were written by A.M.Turaz, Gurpreet Saini, Kumaar, Tanishk Bagchi, Manan Bharadwaj, and Vayu.
Some beautiful songs from the album are Naseeb Se, Aaj Ke Baad, Aaj Ke Baad (Reprise), and Le Aaunga, which was sung by Vishal Mishra & Payal Dev; Manan Bharadwaj & Tulsi Kumar; Manan Bharadwaj & Himani Kapoor; and Arijit Singh. The album has 8 songs in total, but only 4 songs successfully made their way into your playlist.
Rocky and Rani Ki Prem Kahaani
Rocky aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani is considered one of the most popular movies in 2023. RRKPK was released on 26 July 2023 and became one of the most successful films of this year. If we talk about its albums, it also stands out among all the songs that were released this year.
Apart from ‘What Jhumka?’ which was the adaptation of Madan Mohan’s Jhumka Gira Re, every song of RRKPK became popular in the mainstream. Tum Kya Mile, Ve Kamleya, Dhindora Baja Re, Ro Lain De, and Heart Throb are some of the best songs on this album. Saragama Carvaan Medley adds an extra melody to this album. Including different versions of Tum Kya Mile and Ve Kamleya, this album has a total of 14 songs.
