Jr NTR will join the Academy’s prestigious Actors Branch with Kerry Condon, Rosa Salazar, Key Huy Quan, and Marsha Stephanie Blake. Read Out
Jr. NTR who is busy is one of his most anticipated upcoming movies, Devara, thrilled his fans with another good news. Jr. NTR has joined the group of Actor Branch which is made by ‘The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science’.
Yesterday, The Academy unveiled the list of the actors who will be part of the Actors Branch and one name has made his place from India and he is none other than Jr. Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao a.k.a Jr. NTR along with actors like Ke Huy Quan, and Marsha Stephanie Blake.
By sharing the news on social media, the Academy wrote, “In the capable hands of these dedicated and gifted performers, stories, transcend the confines of imagination, taking on tangible, visceral existence that captivates viewers around the world. They create a bridge between fiction and reality with their subtle facial expressions, captivating gestures, and genuine depictions, letting us identify with the hardships, pleasures, and victories of the characters they bring to life.”
They further wrote, “The Academy is exhilarated to welcome Rosa Salazar, Kerry Condon, Ke Huy Quan, Marsha Stephanie Blake, and N. T. Rama Rao Jr. to the Actors Branch.” After hearing the news, fans of Jr. NTR call him ‘Pride of Indian Cinema’.
As to the Oscar’s official website, one may only become a member of the actor’s branch upon receiving an invitation from the board of governors. The branch’s membership requirements specify that actors can only join if they are either “active in the motion picture arts and sciences, or credited with screen achievements, or who have otherwise attained distinction in the motion picture arts and sciences.”
With Ram Charan in SS Rajamouli’s RRR, Jr. NTR became an international sensation. At the 80th Golden Globe Awards, which were held in Los Angeles earlier this year, the song Naatu Naatu from the movie took home a trophy and an Oscar. At this year’s Critics Choice Movie Awards in Los Angeles, it also took home two additional prizes: Best Foreign Language Film and Best Original Song for Naatu Naatu.
On the work front, Jr. NTR is busy shooting for his upcoming movie ‘Devara’ which is scheduled to release on April 05, 2024. Apart from this, he will be seen in Prasanth Neel’s next after Salaar. Jr. NTR is also set to make his debut in the Hindi Film Industry with War 2 co-starring which will be a part of YRF Spy Universe.
