The teaser of Aditya Roy Kapur’s much-anticipated psychological crime-thriller movie “Gumraah” was released on Wednesday. The makers of this film opted for a unique promotional trick. After promising the audience to release the teaser of the film, the makers released the teaser poster, this “Gumraah move” of makers really worked. It creates a buzz and piqued the audience’s curiosity higher, by finally releasing the movie teaser. However, at some point, the character played by Aditya Roy Kapur gives you EK Villain’s vibes. Because Aditya was also seen wearing the yellow raincoat and he use the screwdriver as a weapon just like Ritesh Deshmukh’s character in Ek Villain’s movie.

Besides Aditya Roy Kapur, Mrunal Thakur and Ronit Roy also play pivotal roles in the movie. Mrunal Thakur and Ronit Roy play the character of cops, who are on a mission to hunt the psycho-serial killer, who leaves no trace after the crime. This movie will mark Mrunal Thakur and Aditya’s first collaboration with each other.

This full-of-suspense 58-second teaser sends chills down the spine and it begins, with Aditya Roy Kapur who’s threatening someone by saying “I took a beat down from your goons, I didn’t keep count, because I only hit once and you won’t forget that pain for the rest of your life”. After that, it shows the actor standing in a dark tunnel and smoking and the scene cuts to Aditya Roy Kapur (lover) sitting with a girl and some romance was seen happening. After that, the scene cut to Mrunal Thakur who is a cop on a mission to hunt that serial killer, she collects all the information and presents it in front of Ronit Roy, who is her senior officer. Then a lot of action, blood and drama sequence seen happened. Will the cops catch the killer or not? Or who is the real villain? The only way to get these answers is by watching the movie.

While sharing the teaser both actors wrote in the caption “In the end, the only deception that matters is the one that you believe”. As soon as the teaser was dropped by the makers, fans gets excited by seeing this avatar of a handsome hunk of Bollywood “Aditya Roy Kapur”.

The movie is an official remake version of the Tamil hit movie “Thadam”, which was directed by Magizh Thirumeni. The Hindi version of this movie is helmed by debutant director Vardhan Ketkar and produced by Bhushan Kumar and Murad Khetani. Gumraah will hit theatres on 7 April 2023.
