If you are a student or someone who has to commute to the office every day, you understand the importance of a backpack very well. There’s no doubt in saying that a backpack is a saviour when it comes to carrying important things every day. Hang one and carry on with your everyday activities without the headache of handling various things at once. But choosing just any bag can be quite disappointing. This calls for the need of choosing an appropriate backpack as well.
When we talk about everyday bags, we notice that stylish black backpacks have been in the trend for quite some time now. Given the buzz around black backpacks, one that has caught our eye is the Amber Black Backpack by Svenklas. Here’s all you need to know about it before you decide on this bag.
Svenklas claims to be a producer of goods made with sustainable leather. The use of the same leather can be seen in this bag as well. The bag has a 16-inch separate laptop compartment along with a Velcro closure. It has a magnetic strap closure and an adjustable main compartment. It also includes adjustable shoulder straps with metallic buckles and leather accents for comfort and fit.
When we talk about pockets and the use of leather, the bag has two side slope bottle pockets and a top carry handle with a leather grip. It also comes with two inner slip pockets to store small items. However, the pockets given in the bag are quite less in number and space. Svenklas could have made the pockets more functional/ practical. Even though the bag has one inside zipper pocket for keeping sunglasses, cables and valuables along with a keychain and a pen holder, it would have been helpful if the bag had an additional pouch for wires and laptop adapters too as the brand claims it to be a laptop bag.
The bag is handcrafted with full-grain aniline-dyed vegetable-tanned leather that is processed naturally and imported from certified local factories in Italy, Argentina and Spain. Although, one also needs to notice that the leather is used only for flaps and a few other parts of the bag. The entire bag is not crafted with sustainable leather. Along with this, the cotton material used for the inner lining could have been improved.
Apart from this, the bag is waterproof and can be quite durable with everyday use and travelling but keep in mind to keep good care of it. No detergents or machine wash allowed!
