Bollywood actress Kajol has been ruling the industry for more than three decades, during which she has played many iconic roles that are immortal. She also tried her hand in South, and now she is going to start her new innings on OTT platforms. But, in between this, there is a lot of news circulating that Kajol has taken a break from Social Media.
On Friday, Kajol took her fans by surprise when she announced on Instagram and Twitter that she is taking a break from social media. In a post, Kajol shared a picture in which it was written “Facing one of the toughest trials of my life” and captioned it saying, The phrase “Taking a pause from social media.” Although Kajol didn’t give detailed information for this post, her fans started to worry for her after the revelation.

Just after the announcement, her comment section flooded with comments who constantly asked her about her unusual decision. A fan wrote, Why? What happened? Another fan wrote, Why so sudden? However, the post turned out to be just a marketing stunt for the release of a motion poster for her upcoming Disney + Hotstar Web series ‘The Trial’. But, when she came back after a few hours of her ‘Break Post’, it made her the new target of massive trolling. It was just her publicity stunt before releasing the motion poster of “The Trial”. On the 09th June, evening, Kajol dropped a motion poster of her new debut web series and captioned it, “The tougher the trial, the harder you come back! Catch the trailer for my Courtroom drama #Hotstarspecial #TheTrial – Pyaar Kanoon Dhokha on June 12 (via Kajol’s IG Handle). Coming soon only on @DisneyPlusHS.
Kajol’s ‘Lust Stories 2’ will release on June 29, 2023, on Netflix.
While worrying about their favourite actress, Kajol’s admirers were put at ease by the way the actress did a U-turn on social media. However, a certain section of netizens remained unimpressed, and they started trolling Kajol for her step. Reacting to the post, one of her followers wrote, “Disgusting is the word! Marketing is utterly terrible.” Other User commented, “So Low. Ewww, not going to watch, and no longer my favourite. Low Act.” Another comment can be read as “That was really a poor publicity stunt… Have some respect for your fans…!”

Let us tell you ‘The Trial’ is an official Indian adaptation of Robert King and Michelle King’s American Courtroom Dram ‘The Good Wife’ which is being directed by Suparn Verma, director of India’s most super hit web series ‘The Family Man’, and it stars Kajol (will debut on OTT), Kubbra Sait, Sheeba Chaddha and Alyy Khan. The primary character of the television programme is a housewife who, after working there for 13 years, returns to support her family after her husband is given a prison sentence.
After The Trial (Disney + Hotstar), Kajol will be next seen in 2nd season of the Critically acclaimed Film Anthology ‘Lust Stories’ along with Tamannaah Bhatia, Vijay Varma, Neena Gupta, Kumud Mishra, Mrunal Thakur, Angad Bedi, Amruta Subhash, and Tillotama Shome. Lust Stories 2 will release on 29 June 2023 on Netflix.
