After two long years of the pandemic, the biggest fashion fest is back with India’s two biggest fashion bodies FDCI X Lakme Fashion Week 2022, collaborating to bring back the buzz of runways with some of the most creative homegrown fashion designers. Setting the runway on fire, and leaving the audience mind-blown with their creative designs, the event was an extravaganza with celebrity moments and so many of those glamourous collections that the talented designers brought on the ramp.
From Bollywood’s favourite young talent to Miss Universe, the coming together of artists, creatives, designers and models, the week was highlighted by glitter, glamour and a lot of drama. The fashion even started with the work of very talented Rahul Mishra and the grand finale was ended with absolute glam by Falguni Shane Peacock. Janhvi Kapoor gave the Indian wedding inspiration by wearing a beautiful lehenga from Punit Balani’s collection.
The beautiful Janhvi Kapoor turned showstopper for Punit Balana in a brick red lehenga set from his latest collection ‘Lakshmi’. With heavy Gota Patti, embroidery, and the crisscrossed blouse, the silk lehenga was paired with an organza dupatta and the actress looked elegant in the attire.

Kriti Sanon looked like a queen in a black gown by Tarun Tahiliani.
The actress dazzled the runway as she walked for talented Tarun Tahiliani in his new collection ‘Global Indian’. Kriti wore a draped corset gown with an all-embroidered skirt with a sheer body and highlights of crystals. The collection showcased the glam of modern cuts and the beauty of flexibility, featuring the zari work of threads.

The most interesting feature at the Lakme Fashion Week was the famous Aparshakti Khurana and Raghav Chadha, who is a politician and a member of AAP. The latest addition to the list of showstoppers, Raghav and Aparshakti walked the ramp for designer Pawan Sachdeva. While Aparshakti Khurana looked all dashing in a pastel green pantsuit, Raghav Chadha gave all swagger looks in a leather pantsuit with a mustard belt tied at the waist.
