Schitt’s Creek is one of the most underrated sit-com shows of all time and the roles are simply well thought out. It might be beneficial at times to shake off the gloom and relive tiny moments of life. The six seasons of the lighthearted comedy Schitts Creek (making it perfect for binge watching weekend). Schitts Creek centers on the life of the obscenely wealthy Ross family, who unexpectedly fall bankrupt and move to a rundown motel in a town they previously acquired as a joke. Netflix has all 6 seasons available. This comedy may not be popular right now, but it is a classic that you can practically watch while enjoying a bowl of popcorn.
Alexis is the fan favourite from the show but the other three main characters are also quite savage
3) Brooklyn Nine-Nine
Brooklyn Nine-Nine gained its reputation as a cult favorite when, when the fifth season of the show was canceled, fans banded together to save it in just 31 hours. It is a lighthearted comedy that is set in the 99th police precinct in New York and chronicles the exploits of the boyish and immature Jake Peralta and other detectives, who work under the stern direction of captain Raymond Holt (Andre Braugher). You will be drawn in by the show’s incredibly ingeniously crafted episodes, such as the yearly Halloween Heists, which you just must see.
The chemistry between all the characters is amazing which makes the show even more sublime!
4) Sarabhai vs Sarabhai
Currently streaming on Disney+Hotstar is this cult favorite Indian show. The Aatish Kapadia-penned comedy series Sarabhai vs. Sarabhai is hailed as one of the best Indian television comedies of all time. The Sarabhais, an upper-class Gujrati family who live a luxury lifestyle in South Mumbai, are central to the storyline. Indravan Sarabhai and his wife Maya, who share an apartment with their son Rosesh who is single, make up their family. Across the halls, the elder son Sahil resides with his middle-class wife Manisha. The clever writing and flawless comic timing gave the show emotional depth. For instance, Rosesh’s humorous poetry was condemned by his father and his mother-in law’s hypocritical attitude towards her daughter-in-law since she comes from a middle-class background is also hilarious. You’ll get sucked into the screen for hours by the twisted turns that the show offers.
The only Indian show of the list and it is one of the best ones. It had a season 2 a decade later and fans were simply in awe with the new season as well
5) The Office (U.S)
It’s the truth when I say that most American adaptations of British TV series are terrible. The American The Office’s original debut wasn’t spectacular, in truth. The first season’s six episodes had its moments, largely because of Steve Carell’s sincere performance, but it lacked in terms of plot and characters. The show’s second season, which is regarded as one of the finest seasons of comedy television in history, was nonetheless made possible by the last few episodes expanding on what had already been successful. From that point on, the show took off, establishing a very engaging will they/won’t they with Jim and Pam and developing Michael Scott into a character who is both extremely annoying and human. Despite the show’s overstaying its welcome by two or three seasons and the fact that Carell never received an Emmy for his outstanding performance during its duration, it is still one of the most rewatchable television programmes ever produced.
The fact that the characters were well potrayed by the actors made the show it is today and is the main reason for the love from fans
These are without a doubt some of the finest shows ever created and broadcast for the general public, and there is no doubt that they will be seen repeatedly for years to come. The show’ brand of humour may be beneficial to you and teaches us valuable lessons about friendship, love, and relationships.
