Based on the life of former crime journalist Jigna Vohra, Scoop was released on June 2 on Netflix, starring Karishma Tanna, Zeeshan Ayyub, and Harman Baweja. The series was helmed by ace director Hansal Mehta, who is known for telling heart-wrenching stories to the audience. Mehta smartly made the whole series and touched on every aspect of Vohra’s life. After receiving positive reviews from both critics and audiences, it won Best Series (Drama) in Filmfare OTT Awards 2023.
The Railway Men (8.6)
The Railway Men is the story of Bhopal’s 1984 gas tragedy in which the railway workers saved many lives during the ’84 disasters. This 4-episode mini-series and the performance will surely take you to that hazardous time that brings tears to your eyes. Kay Kay Menon, R. Madhavan, Divyendu, and Babil Khan incredibly showcased the journey and tale of those under-appreciated heroes.
