When the entire entertainment industry is trying to create sequels and universes, he is keeping it simple by choosing a social issue script to address. Dhanush and Samyuktha starred’s upcoming Tamil-Telugu bilingual movie will hit theatres on February 17, 2023. Recently, the Vaathi trailer unveiled was unveiled by the makers. Vaathi in Tamil and Sir in Telugu is directed by Venky Atluri and is being made under the production house Sithara Entertainment.

Going by the visuals, Dhanush plays the role of Bala, a government school teacher and Samyuktha plays the role of Meenakshi, his colleague and love interest. Samuthirakani plays the role of India’s one of leading educational institutions chairman and sent Bala (Dhanush) to a government school as a faculty. Where he falls in love with her colleague Meenakshi. After seeing the rest of the trailer, it can be understood that Bala turns against the chairman’s idea of turning a government school into a private one for business profit. And he raised his voice against corruption and fought against the education mafia when he found out the real reason behind sending him to the government school in a rural area.

And also on-screen pair Samyuktha and Dhanush look great together, their fans love the duo’s chemistry which is more appealing vis. Filmmaker Venky Atluri had always come up with youth entertaining content which has a good social message, this time he took a social topic to address a major problem of the nation and has commercial aspects too. Filmmaker Venky Atluri in a recent interview said that the Vaathi film is set in the 1990s, and to make this film he took inspiration from his own childhood incidents when he was a student. This is the first collaboration between actor Dhanush and filmmaker Venky Atluri.
Overall, the trailer is impressive and the music is outstanding which increases the inquisitiveness of the audience to watch this movie and the cast performed really well. Although, North Indian fans have to wait a little longer until the Hindi-dubbed version of the movie will not be released.
